Cannot believe it has taken so long for him to be picked up. He is a Ball Magnet. Over 500 Possessions in a Season of football at East Perth in teh WAFL.

A Handballing machine ! In the State game this year he was played through midfield as part of about 8 man Rotation , ( 3/4 of a Game ) 10 Kicks 25 Handballs !!

Not blessed with great speed , but just knows how to find the Football.

So happy with this pick up, him or valenti i think we picked the younger option which im happy with. Adds great depth, could release Hocking is strong and loves the contest. Wont need to kick, just get in and win the hard pill and dish it out by hand.

yes 100% agree, i as an East Perth supporter and Essendon member is absolutely over the moon over the recruitment, is such a prolific ball winner and had a huge standout season with us at the royals over 500 possessions in the season averaged mid to high 30's 4th in the sandover and hopefully the bombers give him a go, cause he will fit quite nicely into our midfield.

Probably just the expanding of the game. Defensive pressure has been something coaches have strongly focused on in the WAFL. They see teams like the saints and pies doing so well with teams probably not as great as they finish on the ladder. But defensive pressure by both is huge and defensive game plan plays a big part in their success. Something WAFL coaches try to hammer into their players.

He also looked like he was improving as the season went on. Some big 30's ad even 40's in there plus the 35 possession game against QLD or SA (cant remember).

Nicknames : Pretty sure he gets called Binga.

Although , on the movie theme .. and a Good one for a young Bomber .. whats wrong with "JET LEE" - The one !!

A Bit more about him . Hard as Nails , just loves winning Hard Ball. Someone in a previous post suggested he would be good at winning hard ball and burrowing it out ... ABSOLUTELY !

Upbringing : His Dad was a Superstar in Country WA Football. In South West & Lower South West . His Uncles on Both sides of the Family were very very good. His Cousins and Brothers are Exceptional also.

Essendon are doing very very nicely out of the South West of WA : Pears, Howlett, Gumbleton, Reimers and now Lee ... I am sure I have missed one there. Then there is other WA products Ryder etc .. Sure you are not the Western Bombers ??

I think he will compete with guys like Howlett for a spot on the bench to rotate through the middle. Also someone like Myers if he is also being considered a part of the midfield rotations from the bench. Will go ahead of E Kav probably, so he goes back a spot but will be another he competes against.

Not too sure about his outside play or his forward ability.
