Hawthorn have definately made footskills a huge priority when looking at draftees.

And not before bloody time!

Simple equation really... Poor skills = excessive turnovers = consistently ordinary football.

Hardly worthy of a PhD this, but it was clearly not simple enough for Messers Judge & Schwab to grasp.

Suckling is a gun left foot kick. Didnt play FB but usually kicked in. Had 25 disposals v eastern in a match early in 06. That was his best match for the year - also kicked 2 goals. As also mentioned, got 26 disposals in a Challenge Cup match v Tassy.

as has been established suckling has a freakish kick.. its truly unbelievable.. he controlled to kicking out duties for nsw this year and hit the target over 90% of the time in every game.. His attitude is not bad... he was injured all yr wit op and by the end of the year was struggling to run. it gives th impression that he wasnt interested but not the truth..
i kno we were very keen to get him on board throughout the year.. also he was onli nsw boy offered a spot by the swans which sounds prominsing..

Dont kno much bout the others.. Collins is a half forward capable of kicking goals and taking big grabs.. im not sure whether he will be commited enough to extend his rookie contract nxt yr...
