Bryce Gibbs: half-forward flank next year?

Why?

We have a better player in Gibbs.

exactly, hence he should be in the midfield. Cotchin has shown he could be outstanding playing a specialist forward role and from what i've seen could have a serious impact in his first year.

We drafted Gibbs to play midfielder, play the kid in the midfield.

p.a - all irellevant as i presume we'll take the big Kreuz, which is fine all the same.

what about murphy?

Oops!

Gibbs can play anywhere.

I don't want him played him in the middle when we have enough bigger mids in there with Judd, Walker and now Hadley.

If we play Bryce on a HFF we can rave about how good he when he isn't being tagged or running around on the HFF without an opponent. *COUGH* Pendlebury *COUGH* Thomas

Jamo is rookie listed. I've seen him in person and he looks very short, and not strong. I dont rate him to be honest.

Jamison is 193cm tall, and is listed as being 87kg.

Give him a few preseasons and he will build muscle and will become a bigger unit.

Showed enough defensive capabilities to suggest that he has a future with the Carlton Football Club.

He's had these last year, and was going to be elevated when he got injured. Why wait another 5-6 games?

Yes he was going to be elevated near the end of the year, but he's still not in our best 22 as the season starts.

I'm the bloke's biggest fan, but you have to earn your spot in this team now.

I see what you're saying, but IMO after Cloke he'd be up their for second ruck with Hampson.

Unless Ackland does something remarkable in the pre-season games, it will be Cloke with Hampson or Aisake backing up......and Aisake has the more mature body.......both have similar time in footy, Aisake with some Gaelic background (the Shield's article sadi he played "football" with Shields in his younger days)

with ratten saying they're not gonna go full tilt at the pre-season comp, and wtih the ability to have an extended bench, maybe they'll play all 3 of cloke hampson and aisake to see which ones get the green light come round 1. would be good to see them all anyway

we gotta remember that hampson and aisake have actually been playing the game the same amount of time, just aisake had his first 2 years training at carlton as opposed to school and state footy, se really he should be more developed. in reality i doubt either one will be picked for round 1 and they'll go for cloke and ackland, but if either one of those two's form drop, they'd better hope hampson and aisake arent playing well in the ants

Aisake IMO could be the dark horse for the Blues next year and could really help us climb the ladder. The other obvious one is Hartlett, I know some don't rate him yet, but this kid can really play footy without injury interuptions. Honestly I think he is more suited to the Blues than Kennedy, he has more pace, natural agression and skill. He is perfect for the MCG.

Time will tell.

Oh, Gibbs is best suited as a HFF until his body develops more. Remember he will actually be the same age as this years draftees. Sure enough he has put on weight around the arms and legs, but he still lacks core strength and will get smashed if he is forced to spend prolonged periods in the centre. CFC also needs to watch how quick he builds the muscle, he needs to grow into his body a bit IMO. For what it's worth I think he will be a similar player to a James Hird but will have the body James wished he had.
