Nick Maxwell is courageous, disciplined, a team man and has shown real leadership qualities in my opinion. Wasn't Vandi held in such high esteem for similar qualities?
You are correct.
But nobody has ever been stupid enough to say that Buddy is average and Richie is brilliant.
It's the relativity of the situation we're looking at.
You think Maxwell is a good player.
You think Franklin is an average player.
I'd be very very surprised if you weren't on drugs.
Give up Sunnyteeth you are the laughing stock of BF. You lost the argument when you said Maxwell is better than Buddy. It's relative to what you define as stupidity LP. I believe that Vandi was far more important to Tasmania FC that what Buddy is. Buddy is a troubled individual, gives away cheap kicks, he is selfish and arrogant. Vandi was a superb leader, had the respect of his peers and gave TFC 110%. He offered the team far more than Buddy.

Buddy Franklin has the ability to be the best player in the AFL within the next 2 years. Is that right cretin?
Could you please enlighten me to your thoughs re: my previous post regarding the importance of Vandi versus Buddy? I genuinely respect your input
Buddy Franklin has the ability to be the best player in the AFL within the next 2 years.
He is 20 years old, a KPP who kicked 70+ goals in his 3rd year of senior footy, and let's not forget he kicked 11 points in a game so could have been 80+ goals for the year. How many players can you name that have done that?
Nick Maxwell will be a consistent player for years to come but seriously not a star.
Weren't those stats over 3 years? You are not answering my question HG08. I want you to tell me who is/was more important to the club, Vandi of Buddy. I don't want to hear anything of potential. I want facts! Like how Australia's leading stat company concluded that Buddy is infact only average.
Weren't those stats over 3 years?
If so, you are commenting on a kid that was still only 17.
My answer to your question re; more important to their club, well I think Buddy is by a country mile. 99% of footy fans would agree with me.
The guy is 20 y.o ,give him a break. He has the right people around him to teach him facts of life. You feel he contributes more to the team? And we both know there are far more factors to take in the merely goals scored?
You think he leads by example, has a good work ethic, behaves himself off the feild? Do you think he is trustworthy even?

Barry Hall, Peter Everitt, Tony Lockett and hundreds more werent great role models early in their careers but went on to have outstanding careers.
Buddy will be another who goes on to stardom.
Nick Maxwell hasn't got 20% of Buddy's ability.
Yes, Maxwell does have a better attitude etc but who gives a shit. If both were on the open market at years end, every single club would take Buddy. I have no doubt about it.
Fair enough, you have convinced me. Buddy is average. Actually after our conversation I now think Buddy is not worth having on our list, would you take him?Are you sure about this HG? Hall, Everitt and Lockett all had anger problems you know this, nice diversion but I fear Buddy's may be facing tougher demons.
And this is not about a players worth on the open market. It is about an idividual's importance to their team. Vandi was far more important than Buddy. Maxwell offers Collingwood bucketloads more than Franklin does Hawks.
Buddy is only average. Enough said.

God bless you, AmenChange has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging becuase things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better.
I hope HG, that things for you now get better. You are a brave soul.
God bless you, Amen
why are you still here?
Marketability and talent that helps HFC sell memberships > his rumoured baggage.
Do you have kids? Show him tapes of Maxwell and Buddy and ask which one they prefer.
I certainly know which one i'd prefer as a role model kirbs my man!
Maybe you would like to pick Didak as your rolemodel for your kids.
I have read your crap and I have come to this conclusion.
You are a scab on the taxpayers of Australia.............get a job tosspot.
HAWTHORN has the worst forward line in the competition, that is the opinion of the AFL's official statistician Champion Data. It is important to note that Chamption data's credo is based on creativity, innovation, accuracy, and reliability.
Champion Data does not rate a single Hawthorn forward as above average, including Franklin, who has been marked hard for what are classed as "undisciplined acts".
Last year he had a competition-high 91 clangers, including frees conceded and 50m penalties.
Champion Data rates Franklin's performance as average.
It appears that Champion data has confirmed what the majority of us already know, Lance Franklin is an over-rated dud. If his performance in the 2007 finals series didn't show us that, surely these damning fingures confirm it.
