Teams Buffalo Bills - The Stampede

Visiting Seattle for a couple days to watch the boys play in a few weeks. It'll be my first live NFL game and I'm pumped. Quick question though - are the Yanks territorial with their sports teams and mixing it in with oppo supporters? Will I be able to wear a Bills jersey without getting berated?
How was it!!??

Sorry to leave you all hanging, it was bloody awesome. I can’t wait to go to a home game. No one does it like those crazy yanks, I got proper goosebumps when those choppers went above the stadium during the national anthem. I always thought it was a bit wanky but being there it felt totally different.

Game wise, I was particularly impressed to see the defense reading plays and choose when to come up vs sit back etc. as it’s something you don’t really pay attention to on TV. Defenders have it tough for sure

It was also cool to see the running backs - in particular Cook picking cutback lanes and his timing on his runs waiting for gaps to open up.

Outside of the game I honestly really liked Seattle. It had some similarities to Melbourne in a lot of ways. Clean, friendly and just a good vibe. The only thing is the whole of downtown is basically on a massive slanting hill. Lots of uphill/downhill walking.

Trying to get tickets to the chiefs @ bills game now which would be awesome. I’ll post some pics next post

Thanks mate , great write up and sounds a brilliant experience.
All the Bills podcasts who travelled to the game all raved about how good Seattle is as a city .
So you've picked a good one there to go too

A little bored so here are my favourite Bills pods that I listen too or watch through the week . Worth checking out if you don't already . Happy to hear other recommendations

Locked on Bills- this was the first one I really started getting into to. Jo Marino would have to be as well researched as anyone going , most eps are in the that nice 20-30 min range .
It is on everyday so it can get a fraction repetitive , so I select my fav ones to check out - normally pre game , post game , herd mentality which takes questions and the crossover ep with the oppo host which are a good listen

Always game day in Buffalo - hosted by Sal Cappacio who is a classic and been joined this year full time by Matt Bove who is a good counter being a bit more even with his views rather than super excited all the time . I like the go with the flow format, they do a crossover too and both are beat reporters for the Bills .
Eps are 15 - 30 so again a nice time frame for me .

Shout! The buffalo football podcast .
Just started watching this year . It's very much a chat based pod and I really enjoy their back and forth views. It can be a bit longer , some eps head towards 50 mins.
But it's an easy listen , less stats based and they do take questions .

One I check out time to time
Buffalo Bills - this is the official one and has HOF Steve Tasker on . It's more down the line then the others but I always check out the eps they do with Greg Cosell who runs NFL films and Dan Orlovsky ex NFL QB who are on weekly.

Trap game tomorrow morning. A little thin at both WR and DL. It's hard to forget Taylor running all over us a few seasons ago but the difference is we only have to worry about him this week.

A few pods have it as their upset game .
Fair enough with our outs too i think

Get past another banana peel game
JA one of his poorer games , still makes huge plays in the second half .
WR unit thin , still get it done .
Absolute junk time TD from them too .

We just keep getting it done . It's one of the more even seasons I can remember in my time following NFL.
Can we get healthy at the right time ???
A few additions just rocked up too

Josh Allen is the owner of Miami.

But a great performance all round.

2-0, tiebreaker against Miami, long break before an enormous month of games. Could very well have played 4-5 playoff teams by end of week 6.

Point 1 remains intact

A handy start to the season, but Phins and Jets are not playoff bound!!!

Nice win but looked shaky at times. Defence needed to make a statement and 4 turnovers certainly did that.

Don't think for a minute that KC are there for the easy pickings. They've been ordinary but I reckon they circled this game a while back.

Would still love to annihilate them of course.
