Teams Buffalo Bills - The Stampede

If you believe in sporting patterns, poetry etc., a pretty intriguing set up now for our Bills.

One way or another, there will be another feature article or documentary (a la Four Falls of Buffalo) to come.

This week we play KC in the playoffs for the 4th time in this Allen/Mahomes era.
If we lose, it’s our modern “Four Falls”. If we win, it’s a huge story.

Then the Super Bowl would be against an NFC East opponent.
Either Philly, who was the only NFCE team we didn’t lose to in the previous SB run, do we complete the set of losses? Or does that break the curse?

Or, Washington in a rematch of that SB, where they were the clear favourite and got a hold of Buffalo in the first half. Likely we would be the reverse roles this time.

That was the first game of gridiron/football I ever saw . ABC would should the superbowl back then , Washington jumped the Bills and in true underdog fashion I hitched my wagon and here we are .

They were a bit stiff that team , gun Washington side , wide right against Giants and rampaging Cowboys .

Wow!

Have you watched the doco?

4 falls of Buffalo ?

Yes I have , very good Doco that is a tough watch at times as a Bills fan.
Gives you great insight into the city and fanbase prior to the #BILLSMAFIA .

The Giants SB out of the 4 was the real killer imo

Agreed.

Saw it the other night, night before the Ravens game. Wow!

Great documentary. That first SB loss was definitely the one that got away!

Seems like the team went in overconfident after destroying the Raiders in the AFC Championship, that combined with generally a poor passing game, limited amount of time in actual possession of the football and it still took ‘wide right’ for us to lose it. 😔

SB25 was the first NFL match I watched in full. I'd seen highlights and videos beforehand but never sat and watched a full game. Found myself leaning toward the Bills and was disappointing when Norwood missed, but at that stage wasn't thinking about them as "my team" I think that came after the Washington defeat a year later.

Four Falls is one of the absolute best 30 for 30 docs. The America's Game Missing Ring for 1990 is excellent, if incredibly bittersweet. Would absolutely love to go into next season with a mainstream America's Game for the 2024 Bills.

Howdy BF Billsmafia
I'm logging off until after the game, going to keep a clear head and hopefully we get a win .

This is my most favourite board on BF even though we have only a few posters , quality over quantity

Chat tomorrow , hopefully we are smiling.
Bills 27 - Chiefs 21 is my prediction 😊

Normally before a playoff game or a big regular season game I'm a bit anxious or short with my family or co-workers.

I've been surprisingly calm this week. It's weird. I've followed my current superstition (shave on Saturday, win on Monday) and are doubling down tomorrow. I've never seen the Bills lose in a Sporting Globe and that's where I'll watch them.

I've done my part. Over to you Josh and co.

I am the same. Was very nervous last week and edgy Sunday night

Not so much this week.

Let’s get it done

Goodluck guys today! I’m going to be 2-3 hours behind watching the game today. Won’t know any scores etc so won’t be on my phone. Going to be tough today but hope you can get it done, for years I’ve always talked the bills down cause everyone kept yapping how good they are without winning. This year feels different and I find myself rooting for them so much so financially I’ll gain from them too hah. But really, I’ve watched a lot more, really want Josh Allen to succeed and not sure if diggs leaving has anything to do about it subconsciously. But think it’s going to be a cracking game which you guys will be up for the fight! Do think your going to have to take it up to the chiefs more than you did with the ravens and be a bit more aggressive, not hope the ravens stuff it up. Weather will allow for that more this week also. Goodluck agai

Absolutely shattered.

Defence just seemed a little too under-manned and/or not quite good enough.

Still can't believe that no 4th down conversion call by the ref's... I'm biased, but i thought JA got there quite easily.

Thought the play calling fell apart in the 4th tbh . Whether that's a McD issue (again) I'm not sure but it had the similar feel to it all .
Which we hadn't had this year .

Need to bolster the D as priority . We will score points but can't have the best teams slicing us easily in playoffs .

It's another tough loss to take. KC are insufferable , they are good and certainly act it .

Yeah mate I thought he got there and it was real momentum changer.

Agreed
And the catch that wasn't a catch.
First time they scored 30. We had to have 30+ - didn't happen.
Ultimately on us not to make those few plays.
