Byrnes, where has he gone?

Tonights result 22 possessions, 9 marks!!!!!, 3 goals, great contribution in an undersized forward setup.
We get Mooney and Scarlett back for the Saints, so we'll be strengthened with a bit more size.

Watching live (a rare opportunity) you get to see his value. His hard running opens up the whole front half and if the leading forwards miss it he gets in the right place to pick up the crumbs. EASILY best 22.

When in form his gut running is right up there with Stokes v.2007.
Just needs to make sure he's working as hard when the chips are down and getting kicks is harder.

for example, like the 2009 grand final when his hard running against Clark in the last quarter was a massive reason we won the game?

I think he is now entrenched in the best 22.

Um, yeah.
What's the point?

He's come on in leaps and bounds over the last 18 months but he, like Trav, has had periods in his career where he's not worked hard enough, especially when the team is down and it's harder to get a kick.

I think he is now entrenched in the best 22.

He's been in the best 22 for close to a year now.
He's not guaranteed a game for eternity as he's in the bottom 5-6 of our best 22 but at this stage he's earned his spot in our best team and doesn't look like losing it anytime soon.
