unfortunately wont be seeing haradasun take on this strong field, he'll be running in the listed wellington racing club stakes against his own age group

Harada will be carrying 59kgs in that race! Not sure what would be worse the 59 kgs in that race or a gutbuster with less weight in the Orr.

El Segundo is the obvious pick - but Im leaning towards Pompeii Ruler - ran a massive race to win first up last time (and won a trial easily before that also)
so I think it might be up to it.

Miss Finland should measure up and get close.

Seachange from NZ is a very honest mare and ran 2nd over there the other week so should be fairly fit and be able to put in a handy run also.

lol at seachange

who was that jockey that fell asleep when it was in front with 100m to go and lost the race what an idiot

go marasco

The final field has been released for Saturday's Group One $302,000 CF Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.

02 HONOR IN WAR (USA) (Danny O'Brien) Steven Arnold (10) 59
03 EL SEGUNDO (NZ) (Colin Little) Damien Oliver (4) 59
04 CASUAL PASS (Mathew Ellerton) Nash Rawiller (6) 59
05 NICONERO (David Hayes) Brad Rawiller (1) 59
06 POMPEII RULER (Mick Price) Craig Newitt (9) 59
07 GALLANT GURU (Lee Freedman) Corey Brown (7) 59
08 MARASCO (Fred Kersley) Greg Childs (11) 59
09 AQUA D'AMORE (Gai Waterhouse) Stephen Baster (8) 56.5
10 SEACHANGE (NZ) (Ralph Manning) Michael Rodd (5) 56.5
11 MISS FINLAND (David Hayes) Craig Williams (2) 53

Awesome field. Very excited about Marascos first start over east. Barrier 11 shouldn't be too bad, will drop out to the back of the field. Here's hoping he gets a good run and really comes home strong. GO MARASCO!

Top field

Really make a case for most in there

You would think the 59 hurts Marasco , but then the rest have 59 as well ( apart from the bottom 3)

That then brings Miss Finland into calculations. You would skip Tawqeet for now and see where he is before plunging, El Segundo stands out as the best of the lot, cant go past Casual pass or Niconero, Marasco will have my money though

Lets hope he can pull it off

1 AQUA D'AMORE - Huge prep last time, was IMO a little over done in the end but Waterhouses horse all go well fresh

2 BELMONTE - No idea on this one

3 CASUAL PASS - would have been an out and out champion if not always on the side lines, goes very well fresh and wouldn't shock me if he won

4 EL SEGUNDO (NZ) - Australia's best horse, huge win but aided by champion ride last time, Going as well as ever and loves the track, who ever beats him wins

5 GALLANT GURU - out classed in this

6 HARADASUN - Still not sure what to think about his first up run, beat a poor lot but did it 3 wide. 3 year olds have a awesome record in this but will start unders thanks to the hype

7 HONOR IN WAR (USA) - went into the Cox Plate way under done, trainer is a freak but look for later on in something like the BMW

8 KING OF ASHFORD (NZ) - Out classed

9 MARASCO - Has a lot of Northerly about him but not yet good enough to knock off these

10 MISS FINLAND - Best 3 year old I've seen and this could be a walk in park, Hayes will have had the work put into her first a huge first up run, Only danger to El.

11 NICONERO - hasn't got the class

12 POMPEII RULER - Wouldn't shock me if he won, all class and huge run in Cox Plate, Will have a huge prep

13 RED DAZZLER - Under rated and could run a place

14 SEACHANGE (NZ) - No hope

15 TAWQEET (USA) - About 1000m too short, although did win over 1600m last prep

Watched Aqua D'Amore and Belmonte trial in the same race on TVN, Baster got Aqua to the front in the trial and didnt really get it going in the straight but still won with Belmonte running directly behind it tracking every move and kept up very well.

I like El Segundo, think he is in peak condition after his start at the MV night meeting. Will wind up and run over the top of these.

I am potting Miss Finland, although has bugger all weight dont think she measures anywhere near the aged horses in this race.

Even though she's only ever beaten 3yo's.
Better than Red Anchor who toyed with a Cox Plate field at 3?
Better than Octagonal who also won at MV at 3?

This is gunna be a very interesting campaign for her.
I've had the "should have won the CP" discussion here, may have been unlucky, quite a few were but had 46kg & she didnt weigh in.
They all meet her way better at the weights now, interesting to see how wound up they all are.

seth

Haradasun should have beaten her, but for Williams superior ride.
Haradasun should be undefeated but for Bad Rides. ;)

I wish Haradasun was running in this race, just for the fact it would not even run a place and finally people can stop talking about the most over-rated horse in Australia.

seth

all you do is criticize seth and point out errors.what have you got against miss finland?

i cant wait until saturday when miss finland runs, and wins.she is a super racehorse and it will only be a matter of time before she becomes a star. 6kg is enough of a weight difference, to let dominate.

tell me how many 3yr old fillies that are that versatile that they can win from 1000m-2500m at the elite level??

red anchor and octagonals are geldings/entires so your point is irrelevant!!!
