Yeah not the best field, Maldivian for sure with Casino Prince drawn in the carpark. Maybe a place bet on Count to Zero at $9 isn't too bad. Fiumicino a chance if the light showers predicted between now and race day become massive rain storms.

The horse has never won at less than 1600 metres and never won second up.
I wouldn't be taking any skinny odds on the horse until he gets up around 2000 metres.

Maldivian is way unders @ $2.00. Was very flat second up last time in at a more suitable distance.
Niconero is drawn to get the run of the race and should outsprint most of these off the likely slow pace. The $15 is great value.
Blowout hopes to Teranaba @ $21 and even Coalesce @ $81 who has won a Bill Ritchie fresh and has defeated Desert War at WFA.

What does everyone like in the supporting races on Saturday?
Road To Athens can continue on his winning ways in the first, likely solid pace should counter the drop in distance.
Millie Rose was very stiff last start and will be competitive at big odds.

Without having had a deep look into this I might back niconero each way for some value

Niconero is probably the most consistent miler type in the race, and with no real class runners (except for Maldy who doesnt really win at this distance) should go well, however his last two first up runs have been very ordinary (despite a good 1st up record overall)

Im likeing Rubiscent as well, do we just dismiss Tears I Cry....if it was any other horse it would be shorter odds for sure...maybe a danger runner 4 wins and 2 seconds from 7 starts at the trip

Niconero pretty unlucky, couldn't get a run down the outside, so had to cut back inside and only got done by a nose.
If it had a gap it would have won by half a length, but thats horse racing i guess.
Still a good ride by Shinzig, long time since i seen it win so good on it.
