Am I right in seeing Cale Morton pushing Brendan Lade and then when Brendan Lade went to push Cale Morton, Cale run away like a little girl? Did anyone else see this? It was like he did a Benny Hill run.

Was it about putting on a MFC jumper? So many players are just so weak and the opposition clubs know it and pick on Melbourne and have done for years.

You want to get rid of Sylvia but that is just so stupid. He can mark, kick goals, get his own footy and stand on his own feet. He, Mclean and Jones are the only players in the club who can do this. They are fierce and tackle hard.

FFS if you had bothered to watch the rest of that passage of play you would see that Morton was getting on with the play, he was running off to get the ball in which he did and made Lade look silly trying to chase him.

Not sure which passage of play you were watching Dez, but the ball was being bounced and Morton was running away from the play and also away from the man he pushed.

This is why every team treats us with disrespect when we play them.

DemonDoob you are a goose. As Dez! has already pointed out Cale was getting on with the game trying to get the next kick. Exactly what he should have been doing.

As for wanting more players like Jones, McLean and Sylvia don't we have already have enough slow unskilled players in our midfield. More players like Aaron Davey thanks.

Morton has been good the last couple of weeks, and for a skinny kid, he gets himself in a bit of biff - took on Barry Hall in the pre-season too didn't he?

I don't think hes necessarily that soft, and as others have pointed out, certainly wasn't in this situation.

Needs to back himself in and kick more goals, that would be my only criticism at the moment. I want him getting it further up the wing, at the moment it seems to be all where half back meets wing.

A) Yeah they showed the footage all week, what they didn't show is Morton getting the ball shortly after that. He was not running away from Lade, he was running to get the ball which you have been told many times.

B) Sylvia did not put up a best on ground performance, he was good yes but not best on ground. All of Davey, McLean and Miller would be best on ground before Sylvia.

Yeah we are waiting for you to suck it up and admit you don't know anything.

DemonDoob you are an absolute idiot! in fact, you dont even actually sound like a Melbourne supporter at all!

Cale Morton is one of our emerging stars, and with the rest of the youngsters, gives us reason to believe that success is only just around the corner. He is an incredible extractor of the ball in tigh situations and does a remarkable amount of 1%ers (like Cam Bruce), and this cannot be taught to players.

In regard to the whole Lade situation...he wasnt running scared coz he was gonna get belted, he was merely showing how wise and mature he is for a 19 year-old. Lade wanted to engage in a fight which would see the young kid do something stupid, but he was composed enough to escape the potentially bad situation. If you bothered to actually watch the rest of the play you would have seen Cale run off to be in the play and actually gather a possession a minute later. Lade just chased after him wanting to smash him coz Cale was making him look like an idiot....

I am a Sylvia fan (Always have been, go through my posts if you disagree) but he played one very good quarter and people are getting carried away.
