I honestly don't think it was, first came care package with some rubbish that didn't kill anything, lightning strike may have killed 2, and then I controlled the Talon and got around 5. Actually, might make sense, 7 out of 21 were killstreaks.
Do you get more points for killing while controlling the Talon than you would if not controlling it?

10 kills x 100 = 1000
11 streak kills x 25 = 275
= 1275 + 3 uav assist of 10 each = 1305

It is a bit strange. I have come across incidents where I got 5 more kills than one person but they still finish above me. But never have 3 people in the same game.
There are things which gives points other than just kills. Destroying enemy equipment or kill streaks for example. Though looking at the difference in the of the team win, I can't see opposition team getting many killstreak awards.
Also not all kills are equal as far as the score goes. A normal kill is 100, a killstreak kill is 25, I think killing someone who is using specialist equipment/ability is 125. Let's say you got 4 kills with a killstreak, but someone kills 4 people who are using specialist weapons. That's a 400 point difference right there.
Also your killstreak set up may influence it. If you have killstreaks set up for kills (eg hell storm, talon) and your team mates have support set up (eg UAV, counter-UAV) then they will add to their score without having to add to their kills.
Regardless a lot of planets would have to align to have an anomaly like the score you had. If you are curious to it then you can always investigate in theatre mode. My guess, seeing your score was so low with the amount of kills you had, is that you got more killstreak kills than you think.

I recently had a squeaker who joined in-game and proceeded to repeatedly complain "why am I ALWAYS on the losing team???!". Had a look at the players list; he had 1 kill, 8 deaths and 0 caps. Would not STFU.
Was very close to sending him an abusive message. Thank god for the mute function.

Pardon my randomness and minimal effort to address any other post in here, but I'm quickly coming to like Black Ops 3. I've never been a huge COD online guy (I honestly didn't get right into online until Ghosts), not because I don't like it, just because I never did lol. Additionally, since playing with mates who insist on playing Hardcore only, I've come to prefer hardcore over core as well! Takes more skill and communication, and evens the playing field a bit by eliminating the mini map.

Mate hardcore search is the shit. There is this try hard clan called MHK on Xbox one that think they're top shit that I love beating by myself with shit teammates. Only issue is barely anyone plays it so harder to find a game. I have been playing a lot more core tdm and dom recently but that's only because my friends hate hardcore and search aha (and one of my mates has an above 3 kd so I take the easy wins... Rarley get a game closer than 100-60 with them)
What is it with people running around with knives lately?
I've noticed more and more of them too. There have been a few since it came out, but these last 2-3 weeks there's heaps.

What's everyone's go to weapon?I've been rolling with a silenced vmp and have hot a groove, dragged my k/d up to 1.3 and spm to 260.
Rolling with the purifier as my specialist weapon, usually good for a few kills.
I've never played a cod with such bad players though, even on mw2 and bops1 where I had about a 2 kd I wouldn't see people going 2 and 20 all the time like I do in this. I played a tdm today where I got 32 kills and we lost 100-55 ffs

Seriously people if you haven't been abusing the Vesper with fast mags and extended mags I don't know what to say. Make sure you pick up the weapon of people you kill or have a back up pistol tho. War machine is the best specialist. I also like to use dead silence, flak jacket, tac mask and tracker. I got 2 raps in the one game with it tonight, just been destroying people this week with a few mates. Score per min is just over 310 in core tdm.
How does match making work exactly? On a gaming session on Tuesday night I struggled massively. Most games of TDM I was going something like 10-12 or 12-16. When I played last night, most games I played I dominated. Would match making have something to do with this?
I'm trying to get the Iced medals at the moment (only need 4 more), but it's hard because heat wave appears to be the least used specialist. I'm actually changing lobbies after each game trying to "hunt" somebody using it.

This is my go to weapon. Agree it is the best I have used so far, including the Kuda which I used beforehand.

I reckon the VMP has been nerfed, otherwise it just ain't working for me anymore.
Vesper is the best for short range maps like Evac.
But really relying on the Kuda right now.

I dont know , i just like to whinge about it like the rest of the community.
I think its meant to put people together in lobbies with similar scores per minute , i think this takes priority over location and connection speed.
So sometimes you will be in a good connection lobby with similar scoring players and other times you will be in lobbies with shitty connections but similar scoring players which is why sometimes you have good games (good connection lobbies) and shitter games (shitty connection lobbies)
i'd love to kick some of the squeakers arses on an even keel connection wise lobby but as long as these games remain peer to peer laggy connections , the one with the best connection will win most of the time.
Of course there are freaks out there who are really really good but most of the time its battle of the internet rather than battle of skill.
