I'm not good at this game at all but still liking it. The lag is bad, but not at least not as bad as AW or MW3. Then again it may just be my internet connection in general. It would normally bother me to the point of throwing it to one side, but the specialist abilities makes even having a bad game worth while.

It seems like they've used "Loss stat prevented" as an excuse to chuck you into losing lobbies 10x more. After I play the losing game, my team leave the lobby because they just got demolished. No one else joins the pre-game lobby because they are all getting put into losing games like I was 5 minutes ago. Therefore I have to search again, get put into another losing lobby, repeat, repeat, repeat.

That is my only problem with the game apart from the specialists. Specialists are a great game of "Who the **** thought this was a good idea", like Danger Close/One Man Army or the entirety of COD Ghosts. I love being repeatedly killed by death machines, electro guns, invisible hackers, one hit pistols, flamethrowers, why is this a thing?

Seeing as this is my first next-gen COD, I've found myself having a good amount of fun when the connection has been great. Even when the connection isn't, it still feels better as a general rule than any COD in a very long time (I'd say back to Blops 1 days).

Treyarch have done a damn good job at completely re-balancing almost every aspect in the game. From scorestreaks being a lot harder to get in general making it so that there's a nice balance of people really earning their streak rewards and not a constant movement in the skies of missiles, choppers and such. It's really back to a COD4 feel with how often streaks are being used right now.

Melee combat is now almost non-existant, which is fantastic. You don't have people choosing to run straight at you to hit you because it's quicker than raising the gun or hip firing.

The only thing that's a real bummer is the Specialist stuff. It really works to undo all the good that's been done by Treyarch in re-balancing the game. The Scythe is ludicrously overpowered, the spike melee things undo the general melee combat as you get idiots just jumping around everywhere trying to do a ground pound, the one shot revolver is just as dumb as anything else, glitch just doesn't fit with MP concepts and invisibility is the worst thing ever when it comes to MP games. They really need to nerf these into near non-existance and then the balance comes back.

Maps are pretty damn good, I haven't had a good go on all yet but for the most part they're all pretty well balanced and some remind me of the greatness of Blops maps. It's all back to 3 lanes stuff on most maps too, which is something I just don't understand how devs have not been utilising this for so long. And generally verticality is minimal as well (THANK ****!!). And one worry from the beta, which was a reliance on the jumping/wall running stuff hasn't transferred into the full game as that stuff is really out of the way on almost every map and it's quite nice being able to see a window or something a level up and being able to jump to it.

The guns feel good too and there doesn't seem to be much wrong with the perks and such either, all of that seems relatively well balanced.

Remove or completely nerf the specialists and this will be the best COD since Blops 1. And definitely an enjoyable one to keep in the collection.

connections were better last night , still suck in a party but solo was much better and the yank lobbies were happening a lot less.

with the playlist change from nuketown to chaos moshpit you can now easily find a lobby that is constant domination nuketown as everyone just keeps voting for 'previous' over and over.

I am sure that wasnt Treyarchs intention with the change but its bloody awesome... had some really good games on nuketown last night

Those Safeguard games on Nuketown were ludicrous - think I ended 65-60 or something silly. I don't blame you for hanging around that one corner, everyone who rushed out got their arses kicked. :D

Two consecutive 7000-point games on Nuketown KC after that too. I'd be afraid to see how much damage a full party goes on there, it's carnage.

Agree the abilities are certainly overpowered but I think its redeeming feature is that everyone has to have it. It's not a One Man Army deal where there's just one person exploiting something. If someone's irritating you with Gravity Spikes or a Scythe (which kills way, way too quick) or anything else there's no reason you can't choose it as well without compromising the rest of your class.

I don't mind that it's something that can be used as well, but my biggest issue is that it un-balances the aspects that Treyarch have seemingly worked so hard to improve. When someone gets the scythe they change how they play suddenly. They're sitting in a corner, just watching everyone come by and blasting them away. It just see's people undo the good work that's been done because all of a sudden you're changing how you play as you don't want to lose this overpowered ability.

If it's dulled down to just be something that's nice for a few seconds rather than potentially minutes (when it comes to the Scythe at least - which I think everyone agrees on it's overpowered nature anyway so I expect a fairly quick nerf in the next patch) that's when it'll make sense for specialties to be in the game.

I also still just despise invisibility, it's just a terrible, terrible ability no matter the game.

what has happened to COD, this space jumping running on walls is shit. What ever has happened to a street map with run down cars and fires and sneaking up to campaigners and knifing them, now its just running and spraying and they have replaced the knifing with fisting campaigners

Was very lucrative, I'm just trying to slow down and play a bit 'smarter' cos thats all my connection will allow.

Headless chook isnt working for me at the moment
