Hopefully this doesn't indicate they will keep him on as Magpies captain after this season - he has been pants this year.
Sutcliffe is clearly a great club man with coaching potential, similar to Hartlett. I donāt understand why this appointment is getting mocked.

I'm not sure whether he is a great clubman or not has anything to do with it? Not only is he a terrible footballer, the fact that he is our 'marquee' sanfl player and captain is a disgrace. The only noteworthy thing about Cam is Robbie Gray wiped the floor with him in the 2014 semi against Freo. To add insult to injury, he is also on our covid top up list.
Has he undertaken the relevant coaching course to obtain qualifications or is he currently coaching? Is he a good communicator? Does he have football nous?
It just smacks of a gold pass for one Hinkley's pets and 'good blokes'.
Meh our marquee player and captain in the SNAFL needs to be someone with zero chance of AFL time for conistency, Im ok with Cutliffe having that role.
And I dont know if he can coach, but development AFLW coach is probably not the biggest risk if he cant. **** Id take him over Hinkley.

The sanfl team were that bad they should have refused to give out an award. It reminds me of when Ted won the leading goalkicker award for 15 goals.

Probably one of our best 3 this season.
Mayes playing AFL cost him the gong.
Really just a reflection that our SANFL side was comprised of a stack of mainly still developing kids,f and a handful of under-performing senior players who were grossly below what they should be capable of.
