Cameron Cloke

Club is desperately looking for a 12 month player they can pick up in the pre-season draft.
 
I think sometimes people are too quick to judge and be critical.
Maybe the transition from Collingwood to the Kangaroos may be a good one. How many players can reignite their careers by just moving clubs? (i.e Thommo and Sav).
If we do pick up Cameron Cloke (which it appears likely) then I think he should be given the chance to prove himself.
I would however prefer Jason to Cameron. Yes you may laugh and think that I must be "off the planet" but he was consistent at Collingwood (whenever he ever got the chance to play).

You're dead right. Consistently ordinary. Agree that I would prefer him to Cameron as well. But I'd probably prefer to lose a vital limb than get either.
 
Jason Cloke < Pratt
Cameron Cloke if drafted should go no where near the forward line, as he can't kick.
I could see him playing the second ruck role if Hale did well as a forward, McIntosh spent 80% of the time on the field and Moran decided to quit the game.

In any other scenario I don't see how we can use Cameron Cloke.
 
Mike Williamson will be nervous - his (wimpy) suburban shopping centre footy panel consists of 3/4 of the cloke family at present! There was little interest when the boys were on the fringe of selection at collingwood,l et alone them being delisted alltogether! haaa!

Actually the main problem with taking either Cloke is that you have one of the Clokes on the list. I talk to Cllingwood people a but and have never heard a good word about Cameron. Even for a Cloke he has a bad reputation.

If we pick him up, of course, I will really REALLY try to love him. But I would so much prefer this does not happen. I am going to agree with Zondor on this one - a first.

C'mon H2H. This surely aint the first time you have agreed with my views?

Oh well I suppose that means you want to keep Laidley as coach, relocate the club to the Gold Coast, believe that we play a positive brand of football, believe that Simpson and Rawlings are good kicks of the football, believe that Watt has been our best defender for the last 2 years, figure that McConnell looked like a 200 gamer in his first game for our club, think that McConnell will be the find of 2007, believe that Chad Jones would be a 10 year gun after watching him in a praccy game against the Swans a few years back, believe that Duff just can't shut up about the NMFC, and you don't believe that wearing gimp masks is cool.:cool:

That makes me sad.:(
