TBA tomorrow
If reported as true, then that's excellent news! Hitchcock hasn't put a foot wrong this pre-season. I hope that sort of form can be transferred to the season proper. Congratulations to the young man and his family.

Rodan is set to make an early comeback, and may be available even at Round Two selection.

Wade Thompson is injured and will be out for at least 4-5 weeks with a Fractured Eye Socket.

What I think will happen;

Thompson on Long Term Injury List.
Hitchcock in for John Butcher.
Rodan in for Rodan.
Cloke in for Thompson.

Congrats to Cameron:thumbsu:
Is there a spot waiting for Cameron or is he now in direct comp with Ebo?

he would have to surely be in the rnd 1 team, otherwise why promote him.

My buddy Ebo could be in trouble unless he plays a few blinders. I will stick by my man to produce the goods, but I think the heat is on. If he doesn't find 07 form and Hitchcock to play a true FP crumber, I think I would rather Davenport over Ebo for his midfield abilities.

But hang tight, Ebo will show us all how good he is, shame Alfie is just gonna be better, where's his buddy? :)

Personally, no, Ebert is a leading Small Forward, Alfie if a crumbing Small Forward, room for both. I am excited for our scoring powers this year;

Tredrea vs. the best defender - Nill all Draw,
Motlop vs. the next best defender - Motlop on his day will murder any defender Nill all draw,
Schultz vs. third defender - Schultz is too good for the third defender our first win,
Ebert vs. small defender - Our second win, Ebert should be too strong for the small defender, body on body and above his head, see 2007 when Westhoff demanded the Best defender, Tredrea drew the number two, Motlop the third and it left with Ebert with the 4th defender again.
D.Stewart - What side has a bloke to stand a 200cm natural Forward that is as quick and as mobile as D.Stewart? Our Win.
Hitchcock - with the small defender going to Ebert, how many sides have two natural small defenders, it is hard to stop a crumber where pure instincts kick in.

But this is all us attacking and Zero accounability, Throw Kane onto the Half Forward Flank to tag the rebounding Half Back.

A bit OT, but I was bemused to read an interview with Daniel Stewart in the paper today where he said he was working on his rucking because Choco thinks players need extra strings to their bow. But what extra strings does Brett have? His only other realistic option is midfield, but Williams won't play him there because - to paraphrase - he doesn't have the engine and he doesn't tackle enough.

Teams seem to have switched on to playing a taller defender on Ebo to deny his marking, seems to have worked against him. Stewart will be a handful, I agree, our forward a defence is taking great shape, it's the midfield that will determine our season.

I think Eberts strings are in our Forward set up, he can play from the square and he can lead up from Half Forward, there is also the possibilty of him breaking the flood and kicking goals from 60 meters. I think he has strings just not all over the ground like Salter, Westhoff and possibly D.Stewart. I would also think D.Stewart practicing his ruckwork would help him with his body possitioning and use of his leap at the ball, hand eye co-ordination and the general feel of that type.

Teams can't play 5 tall defenders though! and my first priority would be Tredrea, then Motlop as I dont think Brett is capable of a five goal game, then the big Fella Stewart camped at Full Forward at 200cm's, then there is Schultz who is the same size as Tredrea with argueably the best set shot we have, I say back our Midfielders in to win more than we loose and put the oposition coaching pannel under the pump to stop our Forwards!

I have a theory with bloodlines it can skip a generation, the pure talent of Russel will come "through" Brett. So we want him only playing at our club and ensure he has boys.

Man I wish I was a footy player sometimes. lol

The days of ruckman rucking everywhere are over also. 4 boundry umps mean the ball will come in very, very quickly. We will need a forward ruck and defensive ruck option incase our no.1 ruck can't get there.

Like haemophilia? ;)
