That might be the case mate, but as Deestroy pointed out, he didn't play all that much with the Cannons. Plus, Tige brings up some not so valid points. So Tige....

Re: His physical ability. Have you ever seen tapes of his dad playing for Carlton?? I don't think so. The guy was the same size and went on to be a champion player who could take huge marks and had tremendous courage. Take a look at Robbie Flower as well. Sure, Cam Hunter might not be the biggest bloke on the ground, but that sure as hell doesnt' mean he can't play. You crap on about Pickett lining him up - do you realise that all players can be knocked over, eh? Hunter is 18, he has a few years to build up some strength in the weight room.

Re: Hunter as a thinking player. Deestroy didn't say he played footy with him, he's taking those comments from someone who did. Obviously you are the blind one, mate. According to all reports, he played very good footy in the intra club games across half back. Against the big boys. That good enough?

And it's real big to have a go at Xavier. You are entitled to your opinion mate, but here's mine.

I think you are jealous because HUNTER go drafted and YOU didn't. That's how this is coming across. You sound terribly jealous as obviously you never got picked. What a shame, eh?

I think u make some realy top notch comments cowboy and i respect that a few things ill question are.
Comparing players from now and 20 yrs is impossible as blokes 20yrs back were shorter weaker and not as fit the bodys of today roaming the AFL are alot larger and stronger than the bodys of 20yrs back.
cam hunter and his dad compare them impossible its unfair to cam and his old man.
As far as being jealous of cam being drafted thats far from it some of my best mates some of the best blokes ive ever met have been drafted the last 2 years and i knew i was never gonna get the chance i could compete but not excel and ill admit that,i just hate to see blokes who i can see work theree guts out literally and get nowere and good example is one of my good mates Adam cosham who won the cannons b&f and didnt get drafted or rookied andother is jay cheep made VIC and TAC team of the year and ends up at coburg im more upset for these blokes than anything and i can promise thats theres no jealousy at all or intended if it sounds that way im sorry no pun intended.

Xavier lol im not even gonna bother........
Thanks for the comments mate

Point taken my comments were a bit rashional i agree but ill give u some reasons why he will struggle to ever make a impact at AFL senior level.

Body type-sure u can do weights and have all the protein shakes u want but that isnt gonna change your genetics and realy unfortantly cam will never be a big bloke he has not got the BODY STRENGTH to ever match it with any AFL footballer.

Cam hunter thinking player-NO have u seen what he does when het gets the ball u said u have watched him for many years well i think your blind mate.

What is the point of throwing ur body in if its just gonna crumble-heres a good 1 for ya byron pickett lines up on cam hunter hf/hb
players lifes shouldnt be put on the line in our game.

And another thing u say he played great football for xavier thats great but xavier dont even play in the premiere skool boys comp.I tell u what i would have loved to get our boys againts u xavier blokes use would know what a touch up is.
That is all you had to say in the first place, I don't necessarily disagree that he won't make it either. I was disagreeing with making the statement he won't make itwithout backing it up.

This seems to be happening at a lot of clubs, Broady_20 can attest to that about Dave Carson, in that he was rather average skilled and others stood out a head of him.

I went and watched training last night. It's the first time I've seen Cam and he is tiny especially when next to boys like Miller. He can certainly play footy though. He was playing on Leoncelli in one of the drills and was pushing him around and getting alot more of the ball than Chell's.

That's fair enough mate. All we wanted you to do in the first place was back your comments up. You will find that on the Melbourne board we get stuck into people who have a go at players without any justification or saying why. All you needed to do was say why you thought he shouldn't have been drafted instead of waiting till midway through the third page.

Cheers.

That would be Dale mate, and yeah I remember broadbridge_20 telling me last year how Dale was pretty ordinary overhead, but then I see a practice match report someone reckons his marking was good.

CFH, you said "You will find that on the Melbourne board we get stuck into people who have a go at players without any justification or saying why". LOL. Sounds like what the people at Demonland told you about a month ago when you bagged the crap out of Michael Clark...hahaha :) See ya on Friday.

I think you will find that I explained time and time and time and time again why I thought and still think he sucks ass. They just didnt' read those parts.

Cam Hunter

From the Wizard Cup Footy Record (which I picked up off the ground and didn't pay $5.00 for)

Melbourne Stats...

Cam Hunter, 183 cms tall, 64KGs!!!!!

Very light seeing that the average weight of the demons list is about 85.

Al Nicholson is the heaviest at 102, Neitz is 101.

Second lightest is James McDonald at 78.
