Camry Crows General Manager Phil Harper went on 5AA to explain the Nathan Bock departure and also explained the money that Gold Coast has to splash around.

Basically GC has about 30 rookie/kids at about $100K each for a total of $3M. With a total salary cap of $9M that means they have about $6M to get 10 uncontracted players at about $600K/year.

With Nathan Krakouer on about $400K/year all the Gold Coast has to do is find another player at about $400/year and they will be able to spend about $1M/year on one player.

Now if you were the Gold Coast and you had $1M/year to offer a player, who would you try to sign up?
