Are Collingwood pretenders?

Pressure would be on coach Craig McRae, as the pies limp to round 19 with a win percentage of just 33% against top four sides.

With September just around the corner, they will get a chance to improve on this poor record against Port this week. Unfortunately, it is likely they will fall to a winning record of 25% as the mighty Power are in red hot form and are playing on their home deck.

Can the struggling magpies prevent this disaster before it is too late? Or are they destined to fall just short of a premiership once again?

H&A win-loss record counts for nothing in finals and finals is where they have a pretty shitty winning record of only 33% under McRae.

IJS
Even further proof that the pies just can't match it with the competitions best teams

Exposed more than anyone in last years finals.
Flat tracked Freo and choked against Geelong & Sydney, of aaaalll teams to choke a final against this century they choose Geelong and Sydney. :$

That’s probably the most unfair thing for Collingwould, they never get to play themselves for an easy win come September.

How was it a choke if they weren't even favourites in either game? More like beaten by the higher rated team?

Even North managed to beat Freo this year. I can't think of a softer semi final ever.

That game was more of a freebie than a Nick Daicos possession 🤣
