Keep Nank captain. There is no solid replacement. You only replace Nank as Captain if there is a guy that that is, clearly, a better long-term option and has the runs on the board to prove it. A Cotchin type etc. Otherwise, just stay with the one you got, even if he is somewhat underwhelming in the role. If Nank is a "C" capatin, then Taranto's ceiling as a captain is barely a "B". The instability of "more change" far outweighs any potential ceiling of "positive"

Despite the potential killer draft haul, the club is still very much floating along very rudderless with a Coach, Committee & leadership group that is completely unproved at being leaders etc. I honestly think the club is not that different to the "year 1" Suns or GWS. A very unbalanced playing list & a coaching group that hasn't really proven anyhing as a group nor individuals etc. Think people will need to be very prepared to have 1 or even 2 "re-boots" until we find the right group in all aspects to move properly forward.

The list is one of the most inbalanced i have seen since the Suns/GWS inaugural years. And this coming season Tigers compared to Eagles and Roos:

25-29yo: 7 / 12 / 12

18-24: 30 / 27 / 27

Less than 50-games : 30 / 26 / 27

So I think you’re overplaying the imbalance of the list given it’s not too dissimilar to the rebuilding Eagles and Roos.

They have a few more in the 25-29yo bracket, but whilst Tigers have 7 in the 25-29yo, they do have 12 in the 24-29yo range in addition to the 30yo+ guys.

So ask the same question of 25-29yo in 2026 and we will have 12, exact same as Roos and Eagles this year.

I think the list is as balanced as you’d expect for a rebuilding team.

You both are clowns. You both bragged about the club being a decade(s) long dynasty and that we "killed the Cats" in 2020 and the days of tortured losses were behind us. We never won a final again from that point. The cats won another flag and played in a few more prelims. We did win a spoon tho.

5 years later you are claiming "everything is fine, we just like any other rebuilding list". Yeah - we are like every other club that made absolutely zero moves to prepare for the future, that is now forced to rebuild by building teams with next to no effort in trying to make moves that make us able to win more games now, in favour of losing games and blooding kids to get higher talent. Back in the day, we called that shit "tanking". Where we are now vs where we were at in 2020 is a result of a putridly ran football club. We went from being in the top 1% of clubs being run - to being in the bottom 10% & eating worms with the kids wearing diapers in grade 6 with pens stuck up their noses. The company you are placing us with is shameful. Its not normal. Its not genius. Its not exciting. Its eating shit as there is nothing in the fridge, but if we hang in there we get the dole cheque in November.

We let 1000+ games of experience walk out the door last season & recruited exactly ZERO games of experience to replace them. We won 2 games, the worst in our history. You are now saying "everything is fine, this is normal - just like Nth & the Eagles" - two teams which have been a laughing stock and put up seasons that had me comparing them to Fitzroy when they bit the bullet. We are managing the club to rebuild completely at the expense of making any effort to win now. That is tanking. And we are doing it because we have absolutely no choice due to the terrible decisions we made when in a position to set the club up for decades of meaningful football like the Cats & Swans have been able to do.


The list we have now is not a plan - its a outcome of being a shitshow. This was not our plan - to be like the Eagles & Nth for ****s sake. Stop acting like this is all great and the norm for a well run club. This is what shit clubs do to try and get ahead, not smart clubs. we are rebuilding via handouts and walkouts.
