With new scholarships coming Carey's way and the emergance of footballing legends such as Daglish, Mitchell-Hill, Walters, Yeo and Gudgeon will offer greater depth to the already deep Carey lineup sure to take this years APS premiership.

The Line up is as follows for no doubt the best team to hit the ground in years.

B: Ramsay Cushen Reed
HB: Yeo Walters Seale
C: Koa Daglish Knox
HF: De Leijer Mitchel-Hill Fordham
FF: Courtot Salmon (c) Thompson

Fol: Davis, Gaff, Crocker

Bench: Wood, G Cousins, Rhodes
Em: Lisle, Wright, Gudge

With Careys new Scholarships they are more than likely to take the premiership (Scholarships in bold)

Feel free to post your schools team.

Interesting to see J. Lisle on the pine. Could this be due to the "Queens" incident?

Careys Lineup

FB: McLean Cushen Gudgeon
HB: Reed Seale Thopmson
C: Koa Courtot Evans
HF: Knox Lisle Parker
FF: Gaff Fordham Crocker

Foll: Salmon, De Leijer, Wallace

Bench: Smith, Chapman, Mitch, Ramsay

Jordan Lisle (a.k.a God)
Known around both Carey Kew and Bulleen as the best in the business, this 196cm sprinter from Blackburn has made his mark both in APS football and TAC Cup both as a leader and a foward target. With strong arms overhead and an engine to rival el Garouge, Lisle will be both a threat this season aswell as at AFL draft camp.

James 'Cooties' Courtot
Described as both a violinist and a woodchopper by the big man himself, Courtot has excelled in the past few years showing leadership to boys of an older ilk. Has an atheltic background and is comfortable in any sport he plays, especially football. Football is in the young mans blood and will be a great threat this year.

Bretty de Leijer
Head over the football doesnt even begin to sum up this mans courage. Other teams have modelled their 'hard men' on this kid. Has put on alot of muscle over the summer and has been honing his skills on both sides of the body. His tackling is by far his strength and will make it hard for other midfeilders to get any space.

Pierre Seale
Known as a tall backman who has played 1sts since Year 10 and has been a project for the Carey football organsition. Cementing his place as centre half back he has apt skills as both a defender and can go foward and kick a goal if need be. Seale has the ability to the kick the ball further than any other player to step onto the feild.

Will Cushen
Elusive in both height and speed, Cush was able to shut down many players both taller and older than him in his Year 11 season. He has been moulded into a full back with speed likend to that of Scotty Mace. Cushen is known also for his good looks.

Nick Koa (N.D.Gay)
The biggest engine going around and as defined a body as they come. He is able to rack up possesions similar to that of Scott West. Koa will be a tough man to pick up on streaking down the wing this year. His right boot is the best at Carey on the run and he always puts in his best for the team.

Lachlan Salmon
Known only because of his famous father, Lachie will have to prove that he can play football aswell as wear metro clothing. He is a tall boy and only in Year 11 still has some way to come in his football. He needs to speed up his skill execution but could turn a corner and become one of the leagues best tap ruckman.

Harry Knox
A pure speed machine, the fastest player in the Carey team. Capable of tearing a teams midfield to pieces. A key in Careys run and carry gameplan. Not only an quick tough midfielder, he can push foward and use his pace to easily outlead defenders and kick some goals.

superb post there gary..excellent lineup and stunningly accurate descriptions of each player..lets just hope carey can find the right mix of woodchoppers and violinists this year

How do the likes of Sam Landgren and Ted Davis not get a gig on this team

With Sams silky 'Buttery like' skills and Teds First XVII experience from last year its just a joke that they arent in the carey lineup

We salut gary for an absoloute awesome post describing the line up of carey and its depth and an excilarating team on the park this year. Carey will be huge underdogs this year in the APS season although carey will breakthrough with some unlikely victories with their pace they will run ragged any other team in the comp and make it hard for oposition players to break free. The venim and toughness generatoted by the carey unit will be a standout and may contribute to sum carey 1st XV11 victories.

Any thoughts on captain this year??

And completely forget aboute that last coment.. not a chance

could someone do a summary on gudgeon please.

Hard-nosed utility who relishes the contested footy. Will play predominetely down back, given that he is injury-free and will use his strong body to good effect. It's a shame on the otherhand as the man has terrific goal sence; exhibited last year in the 2nd's kicking goals from the midfield at ease. The Irish in his blood stream runs thick as well as a fight and a froffed one after the game, becoming a weekly ritual for gudge.

Expecting big things from Sammy this year

I no he doesnt hav a chance of making the team but wat do u guys think about lewis fotheringham. He 196cm 92 kg (all muscle) makes the state rowing team. He has an uncanny ability to palm the ball down to his rovers and now with his increased fitness has a a decent mobility. Only problem is simply his skills but if he could take them up a notch hed be a chance

would sound like the answer to careys ruck woes but fotheringham is an unco, has he trained with the 1s?
will no doubt be a ruckman next year

Just wondering for any carey boys out there, how is Brayden Daglish travelling? Played 2nds last year and was one of their better players when we matched up against them. His assistance that day was required at 10 B level as well, in which he racked up some 10 possessions and 3 goals within 5 minutes. If he cracks down on attending less 18ths, does he have a legitimate shot at 1's?

I'm glad you asked...Putting his hand up to be a legitimate chance to play this year after a stellar performance in the practise match today..hit the post from outside 50 and selling some candy to numerous De La Salle players was a highlight as the man they call 'Richo' racked up numerous possessions!
