If he was to move onto the wing who would people have replacing him in the middle? Just worry we would become more inside/contested heavy and lack spread from the contest
Cooper Lord.
Definitely.
We'll see what Jagga can do when he's healthy again, but until then Cooper is the man.

We can see what Carroll can produce in the 2s, maybe something for late in the season/next year.

Just worry the core four CBA mids of Cripps, Hewett, Lord and Cerra will get killed on the spread.

I get it but I disagree.
Each can either get enough seperation or break tackles, and have great hands to dish out. All are better tacklers than Walsh and read the game well.
Walsh simply cannot get seperation and needs to utilise his best asset and work his opponents into the dirt.
Currently he is getting just as tired as everyone else in getting hit/tackled, and his disposal is typically rushed.
I would rather this than anything else.
Centre bounce is a smaller facet of the game than stoppages around the ground (where Walsh would be in attendance anyway)

Lastly, teams do not fear Walsh in the middle.
However, they actively avoid him on a wing, and guard him like crazy at general stoppages. We need to use this to our advantage and put them on the back foot.

Even if you add Walsh, it's still one paced, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be playing more consistent

He seems underdone to me, same with H and Charlie

Our cameos in the middle need to all spend a little more time on ball

Meh...wing is for midfielders with shortcomings.

This simplistic inside/outside thing shits me. Walsh's best football is gut busting running, contest to contest, transition football. It doesn't mean he needs to be at the bottom of the pack, or collapsing in on the contest as is the Carlton way, but he needs to be feeding off the contested situations...because that is where he can absolutely rip teams to shreds.

Walsh best season come from him roaming off half fwd switching with a mid and going wherever he wanted running guys into ground with repeats overlap by hands . Midfield is Missing Elijah Hollands structurally more than anything-

Thought their analysis of the numbers & footage was dead on.

His fatigue was so bloody obvious and he’s not get any younger especially with his playing style
Jimmy B was always my favourite non Blues player....such a gun, and now he's my favourite footy analyst.
The no go zone, and defenders behind the kicker.
WTF has happened to our forward handball to free us from congestion?
Now it's just blindly bomb it at all costs.
The footage was absolutely damning.

Confidence. They are playing completely voided of confidence at the moment. Whether that’s individuals or coaching is another issue

I wouldn't mind seeing the correlation between Walsh in form/ in the best and our W/L record. Think his best/worst and ours would have a strong link.

Yeah lol.

But hey, it's still a rumour, believe what you want.
Lol Paul is an absolute peanut. 2 weeks ago he was peddling that Charlie won't be back until mid season and the club was lying about it to sell memberships and when that got proven wrong (despite being underdone last week) he goes on to the next load of BS.

Honestly, he's one of the worst supporters going around with this stuff and despite his entertaining analysis of games you shouldn't trust any 'whispers' that come from him.

Head got too big from being on Blue Abroad a heap with Terry and now just makes crap up every other week to try and stir up some controversy.

If I trusted it, I would have posted in the no discussion thread...

Like I said, believe what you want.

He seems a nice bloke but sort of says a lot of stuff without saying anything e.g "I hear Voss and Charlie don't get on ....well I'm not saying they don't get on but believe there is, I won't say tension, but some angst between them."

(BTW - I'm not directly quoting just a light hearted example from listening over the years).

Edit: I should also say I admire the work these guys like Paulo and Terry do to create this content. It can't be an easy job.

“Im hearing his knee isn’t good, and he won’t be back until mid season”, something along those lines. Then says that his source is impeccable.

IMO his head has gotten bigger since getting the SEN gig. He was a great contributor to Blue Abroad, and I still enjoy TJP, but he now just comes across as arrogant and obnoxious a lot of the time. Plus Mars is a complete loose cannon, which makes the show almost unwatchable at times, especially if we lose

There was a moment during the Hawthorn game - in the 2nd half when Charlie went to the bench, he was doing some run through’s & spoke to a physio/trainer on the bench - you could see the others guy mouth the words “ the knee”.

Given his performance last week & believe he was a no-show yesterday(?) - it wouldn’t surprise me if Charlie catches a nasty “head cold” from Harry this week.

I hope I’m wrong!

Which Paul and which show is this?

Re: above rumour about Voss and Charlie - Sean on the Prendercast did say he has heard a rumour that a group of players (including Cripps) are confused or not sure of what is expected of them under Voss's game plan.
Sounds like

Teague era all over again

Same tail, wagging a new incompetent dog.

Id remove Voss
And break up the senior players.

Both the problem.

Maybe the players are permanently confused because wasn’t the same said when Teague and Bolton were coaching too. The players are the common denominator. At some point we may have to accept the players aren’t up to it.
