5 Carrots : great effort racking them up
4 Kreuzer: started it all and did so much work for us
3 JR: can't hear you celtic pride. Spark plug. Has balls this lad
2 Waite: great return. Marks, goals, target. Welcome back
1 Carlos: much to do but good effort

not sure if we are doing it but
WOG: toss up Robbo was pretty ordinary tonight and Anderson did not impress me much

Interesting. I didn't realise McLean played such a good game. I thought he was ok, all the same.

5 - Carrazzo
4 - Waite
3 - Betts
2 - Scotland
1 - Russell

We are so much better going forward when we play through Russell I find. He does a fantastic job at getting things moving. Unfortunately, Warnock fumbled and messed up what looked like being an exciting play. Thought Warnock went ok as well. We have to treat him like any other young ruckman (and remember Kreuzer is a freak). HE's only played 20-odd afl games and showed a lot of promise tonight.

For me, the top 5 players:

5: Carrazzo Was in everything tonight and did the donkey work well.
4: McLean For his in and under work... geez we have been missing this
3: O'hAlpin Will only get better as he gets more confidence and his kicking for goal will also improve.
2: Betts Once again did his job very well and was a constant pest for the Bitchmond backs
1: Scotland Handled the job of first receiver from McLean very well and covered the half back line as cover well.

Honourable mentions: Gibbs Murphy Kreuzer Warnock and Yarran

5. Carrazzo
4. Scotland
3. Betts
2. Kreuzer
1. Yarran

Unlucky - Gibbs, Bower, Russell, McLean

Was thrilled with Yarran's performance tonight. If he can reproduce tonight's effort on a regular basis, it'll go a long way to help fill the hole left by Fev.

5. Betts
4. Carrazzo
3. Russell
2. McLean
1. Bower

Gibbs, Murphy, Yarran, Kreuzer, Simpson and Scotland pretty unlucky.

5. Scotland - started so many good forays forward
4. Kreuzer - just never stopped all night
3. Carrazzo - too many poor disposals prevents a higher ranking
2. Russell - great drive and spark out of the back half
1. Betts - most dangerous looking forward all night

Special mentions:
McLean (hopefully will continue to keep the doubters in their box)
Murphy (will be better for the run, great effort for a guy underdone)
Gibbs (all class as usual, Ratts said he had a stopping role, probably why he wasn't as prominent)
Setanta (great effort all night, but just pipped by Eddie)
Bower (but JR was more damaging)

Agree with Guns, Anderson was by far WOG. Only player that I was disappointed in for the night (shame, cos it looks like he tries his guts out).

5. Andrew Carrazzo
4. Brock McLean
3. Bryce Gibbs
2. Ryan Houlihan
1. Eddie Betts

Honorable mention: Chris Yarran... After seeing a glimpse of the future... DANIEL WHO? Brilliant, brilliant. Loved to see the kid smile. Every time he did something Betts was smiling his ass off - Herald Sun has a great photo of Yaz with Betts in the background with a huge grin on his face.

5. Carrots - Was simply a class above. Absolutely everywhere.
4. Scotland - Great disposal was relentless in breaking the lines all night.
3. Russell - The general. Stopped attacks and excellent disposal from The back half.
2. McLean - Yes Yes Yes, he is The midfield foil we've been waiting for.
1. Betts - Always causing trouble. Needs to stop thinking he is from South Central LA though..
