The 2012 AFL season is fast approaching, and with it brings the return of the Herald Sun Supercoach competition. Every year we have plenty of interest from Carlton BF supporters and I expect 2012 to be no different.

I’ve decided to start this now as the opening of the competition is just over a week away, and it can’t hurt to start calling for expressions of interest. Other club boards have already started organizing so I’ve taken the responsibility of getting things underway on the Carlton board. Kudos must go to those who have run it over the past few years as it has proved a huge success. Of course, help to organize this is always welcome should anyone feel the urge.

This competition will be open to Carlton BF supporters only. Your level of experience with this game is entirely irrelevant. All players are welcome and will be put into a league based on their 2011 ranking. Those who did not play in 2011, or have never played, are also welcome – and will be placed in a lower league. According to rankings I will divide everyone who is interested into leagues, which will be named divisions.

Please use this thread to register your interest. I have not yet decided the cut-off date for registration, however it will most probably be 1 week before the start of round 1. This will be confirmed at a later date both in this thread, and via a PM that will be sent out to each and every participant.

We have plenty of time before the start of the season but please do not leave it to the last minute, if avoidable. This involves plenty of work and I am more than happy to do it but it will become a huge hassle if people leave it right up until the last moment to register their interest.

How to register your interest:

This competition is open to Carlton supporters of all levels of experience in Supercoach. Whether you are a seasoned campaigner or an absolute newbie, is completely irrelevant in terms of participation.

If you have never played SC before but are planning to, simply register your interest in this thread along with your team name.

If you played in 2011, register your interest by posting a screenshot of your overall score and username. If you plan on changing your team name, let me know too.


How to post a screenshot
1. Go into Supercoach on your home screen and then hit Print Screen.
2. Open paint or similar and hit paste.
3. Crop down your overall score and username.
4. Upload it to a file sharing webite (eg: photobucket)
5. Copy the pictures link onto this forum.

Alternatively, for those that are useless with computers, much like myself, you can provide a link to your 2011 team from the 2011 Supercoach website if it is still available. That will also be acceptable as your registration.

2nd post in the thread has been updated with a list of participants, team name and 2011 rank.

Waiting on information from Blueinblood before I can put him in the competition. Required information is mentioned in red.

Please excuse the terrible formatting. Will be fixed once I start putting people into different divisions.

Just to confirm - you finished 18,190 overall, first name Jason?
 
Hi there, I'd like to play again.

I played in the Manangatang Thirds BF Blues league last year (league 196794), and got dudded in the granny by 15 pts. Boooo. Judd got 80 something and Pav and Fyfe didn't even play. Ruined.

Finished 2,207 overall with 54,109.

Happy with whatever league I end up in of appropriate standard.
 
I am in again and i have a few scores to settle with some Division 1 foes from last year. :D

The Pies killed me last year in Rd24 and i was in a heap of Grand Finals but they rested stacks that week with their foot off the pedal and it was the difference with me losing. :mad:

Top 6% is still passable but it was a drop by 1% from 2010.
