Carlton - The End is Near.

What an embarrassment really. Had Carlton have won on the back of such ridiculous umpire interference I would hardly want to show my face to brag about it. Despite the scoreline reading a Sydney win; and even though Carlton had every chance in the last only to mis-kick; I don't consider it a loss for the CFC.

You had more frees, more frees in your forward 50 and more goals from frees. We can get into the what frees weren't paid but we'd be here all day.

Which makes the Floods what? You couldn't even beat us without some of the most obvious umpire assistance in finals history AND our players spraying the easiest of kicks in the last. LMAO!
Ummm, we beat you, actually. And you should now stop sooking and try and take it like a grown-up. All this ump whinging is really quite pathetic. You had you chances and choked, even your coach and captain said so. You choked and we didn't. Hence we are the victors, that's how it works.

LMAO at YOU.:D:D:D:D
Shouldn't you be on your own board checking out what's been cooking or getting the kids back from DOCS now that footies over for you?

And 26yo today. Best decision the club ever made; did you see his 3rd quarter yesterday ... had Lethal Matthews absolutely gushing.

Football is a game of four quarters. Judd only put in one.

27 years old this year, 28 next year. I wish we only aged on our birthdays too, but it's not so. Not in this realm.

Carlton wouldn't have even played finals if not for Judd. Replace him with those 2 top 20 picks and Josh Kennedy we would have ended up just like the club on the other end of that deal.

Judd deal looks even worse when it was Armfield who gave the ball up for the matchwinner in the final term.

Carlton can't take a trick at the moment.

Umm ... no. He put in one of the best quarters of finals football you'll see this year and 3 quarters of ordinary mortal football. All of which were better than Hodge.

Hahahahaha ... Armfield was three times the player Hodge was on the w'end. Made a bad move in bouncing the ball, but shit, take a look at the rest of game lmao ... it's like you're a softball fan.

Yeah ... I'm not playing add up frees here. I wouldn't care if Sydney had twice as many frees as the Blues; as long as they were kosher. That first quarter was the worst display of finals umpiring I've ever seen.

Yeah ... I'm not playing add up frees here.

Of course not. It doesn't help your argument when you were clear beneficiaries of the free count. White spent most of the day getting shoved in the back when he took front position. Hannebery was done for HTB when he'd handpassed out to McVeigh at the top of the Swans forward 50. It's swings and roundabouts.

Yes, if ordinary mortal football meant choking in front of goal and chipscabbing in defence, then yes he played ordinary mortal football.

Unfortunately he just went missing in another crucial last quarter. Shades of the 2009 EF when he was MIA as Brisbane overtook your mob.

Armfield actually played worse than a bloke hobbling around Subiaco. I didn't think it was possible, but there it was.

Gave up the ball for the matchwinner. I guess that's success at Carlton, right?

As we're discussing umpiring, Monkey King, I direct your attention to the following screenshot.

To the right you can see a Carlton player passing the yellow area before the other spud is off the field. By my reckoning that's a free from the centre and a 50. It was even called by the emergency but Sydney didn't get the free. Are you as outraged as I over this blatant attempt to let Carlton into the game?

You had you chances and choked, even your coach and captain said so.

Yep. We had our chances all right, should really have won it. If the umps did the first half like they did the second, we would have too.

Of course the coach and captain wouldn't say anything about the umps ... just look at what happened to James Hird. Even the commentators are scared to say anything these days ... look at Grant Thomas.

Ummm, we beat you, actually. And you should now stop sooking and try and take it like a grown-up. All this ump whinging is really quite pathetic.

You'll have to forgive me for loving the game of football. If what happened on Sunday took place on Grand Final day, our game might as well just be dead.

We had players from both teams running head first into opponents on Sunday trying to get a free; pathetic in itself, but even more so when the umps react.

Of course not. It doesn't help your argument

Playing add up free-kick totals is just about the dumbest way to evaluate the impact of umpiring. As if free kick totals are ever meant to be even or a lop-sided count indicate disparity in any way. Bizarre.

Best is to view them on their merits. Even opposition fans were hanging their heads yesterday at the pathetic interference by the umps. Being grown up and all I might have expected you just accept that this was part of the game and it was part of the reason you won. No point burying your head in the sand about it.

LYAO if the same happened to you guys in a Grannie would you? You're a bottom feeder Pie-eyed, who struggles at the best of times with football sense.
Coming from a poster like you MK that's a compliment.
I would hate to feature in your top 10.

Fail narrative is fail

Judd >>> Hodge

Fail narrative is fail.

Judd hasnt owned Hodge since he left WCE.
No player can be better then another player whilst wearing that Navy blue jumper.

Besides Greg Williams your last Brownlow winner was 1964.
And we all know Greg was a great player for many clubs and won the medal as it was one of his first years not getting suspended... It shows that Carlscum dont have the best players going around :)

As I said earlier, I have no doubt if it had been in your favour you would have been all over it.

Ah yes, speaking of viewing on merit, I note you haven't addressed the blatant free which was actively noted and ignored by the umpires that I just posted up.

Well I wouldn't. You will find posts of mine on BF stating that adding up free-kick totals to evaluate umpires performance is daft. Scores aren't required to be even, why the hell would free-kicks be?

Why jump on an anomaly when the pattern is so obvious. I couldn't believe the amount of Carlton haters that were outraged by the umps. Speaks volumes!

Outraged by the umps doesn't mean they thought the umps were favouring Carlton.

I'm a Carlton hater and I thought the umpiring was balanced.

Get over it.

I never said they should but when youre claiming to have been done over in the umpiring stakes it's a bit strange that you'd be on the positive side of the ledger by some of the biggest discrepancies this year. Stranger still when the umpires aknowledged and ignored a free kick that almost certainly would have resulted in a goal.

Get over it.

Why don't you then? Certainly I'm not going to start suddenly pretending the umps didn't impact the game with a volley of incorrect 1Q decisions.

The only balance in the umpiring was that the first half was beyond pathetic and entirely unacceptable and the second half was pretty much a master class in how games should be officiated.

Sorry mate ... just too many opposition fans outraged for it not to have happened yeah.
