Cameron had a game to forget. The fact that we won well without much help from him is a positive. I thought Duncan was ok.

Makes me laugh that the short arses with the low centre of gravity (closer to the ground) were among the best.
We'll forgive the beanstalks this time.

That was the best win I've seen for a long time. Lions are meant to be a top 2 team this year- I was certainly sucked in by their win v Demons.
A really gutsy win, and certainly starting to believe we are back.
Love the smarts by our players in the wet, just getting the ball forward, and our pressure in the contests. Excellent wet weather performance.
Loved Parfitt again, nothing fancy, very effective, and showing real leadership out there.
Conway relished the absence of the big O, and that will do his confidence no harm.
Stengle did not believe it was wet, brilliant.
Many best players.
A great springboard for the year, and the tests continue.
Next week, maybe a 100K crowd.

Interesting to speculate who'll come in for Stewart.

Go for a midfielder like Hardie or Knevitt, with Bowes dropping back into defence a bit more often?

Or replace a defender wtih a defender, and recall either Bews or O'Sullivan?

Reckon they’ll go with O’Sullivan. Don’t be surprised if there’s other changes after a tough slog too. Duncan looked like he may need a rest pretty soon to me.

It has been a year and a bit, the kid hasn’t even played ten games. Joel Corey looked ordinary at the same stage
That’s a long bow you’re drawing….
But I am waiting to see something to hold out hope.
Another dozen VFL games should do more for him than being a sub.
Needs to add some serious bulk and strength to play with the big boys thru the midfield I’m afraid.

That was ****ed. He played in two Brisbane premiership sides for thier club. A real head scratcher that one.
Exactly! When GAJ returned to Geelong, wasn’t playing. I shirt fronted Campbell Brown to be the first to welcome GAJ as he was alighting Suns’ coach. GAJ looked so nervous. I threw my arms around him, wished him well at the Suns. GAJ hugged me so tight, gave me a kiss + thanked me.
When he played at KP + kicked a goal from the Ablett pocket, we all cheered.
Upon his return to Geelong, I reminded him that I said he’d return to Geelong. Darling GAJ replied, he’d always remember my welcome + my prediction.
Chris Scott was a champion at Brisbane, respect his phenomenal contribution.

Hardie for Clark.
Bews for Stewart.
COS not strong enough ATM.

Just a few observations.
So Hawk has back2back zero goals with minimal impact compared to his last 200 odd games.
A concern? Or just a heavy training load for the old bloke?
We need a great Hawk to show up at the G next Saturday.
Stengle was BOG for me.
Gave us plenty and was like a pig in mud tonight…. Loved it.
Zac G. Has taken yet another step for me.
Chilli 🌶️ got a big break with the Big O going off concussed.
The experience he got tonight will pay itself tenfold.
Tanner Bruhn continues to build.
Jack Bowes. Kudos to him. Well played.
I wouldn't read much into his impact this week. The tallest players on the ground to kick goals were MOC and OHenry, both 189cm.

Good positive summary, considering the game was so frustrating early.
And won't they be licking their chops at the absence of Stewart?
Blues would do well to remember we won our games without him due to suspension.
He's not going anywhere and will lead from the sidelines.

I’m not saying he will become Joel Corey, I’m just saying that he doesn’t have to look good in his first dozen games.

Duncan looks like the last few years of Harry Taylor. He looks like he shouldn't be there in the warm up then turns around and plays outstanding footy.

Did what was required when he had to. Just not the kind of game for his talents, but I was pleased to see him pushing back in defence instead of just chasing goals or kind i50.

He got plenty of the footy but I didn’t think he had much impact. He looks slow and is making uncharacteristic skill errors. Still in our best 22 but Father Time is ticking.

As I said in an earlier post re Cameron, not a game for KPFs. He did influence with a couple of strong 1 on 1 contested marks in Q3 from memory. Nothing to see here. When the ball has moved well into F50 he has been mint.

It'll be his last year. I think he's certainly less cooked than Tuohy for example

O'Sullivan for mine
