sunshine coast has a faster growing rate than gold coast and ipswich would be high too..

broncos as a one team town sometimes get mid 20's for crowds

btw i think sydney can really only support 5 but if we cut that many we would lose alot of fans

Average crowds of 35,000, a lot of games of 40,000+

A second Brisbane team would be good to get supporters who do not like the Broncos.

A second team might hurt the Broncos at first, but like I said wouldn't most fans like that as most fans hate the Broncos? Aren't fans sick of seeing Broncos dominance? A few Broncos fans might switch to a second Brisbane team, but I think it would only hurt the Broncos for a few seasons.

Plus SE QLD inc. Brisbane is the fastest growing area in Australia and a lot of people from NSW move up hear - I'd expect a few would be old Bears fans and would love to see the North Brisbane Bears, seeing their old team come back.

North Brisbane would represent the area your talking about - Sunny Coast, and Redcliffe too. The rivalry between the two Brisbane sides would be massive and would be another great local derby.

Your stupid if you think Brisbane doesn't deserve a second team.

Broncos IIRC had 2 games of 50k and then next highest was 39 vs titans

you make some good points..alot in fact

mind you i suppose due to no stadiums in sunny or west, suncorp is the liable option

While there were some poor crowds in some games - mainly against small NSW teams, we got crowds. 50k against the Storm in the finals and Cowboys during the season, 37k for Benny and Tonies Farewell. 42k against the Titans sounded disapointing but I had tickets but couldnt go because me and mate were both sick, and so were a lot of people in Brisbane. Plus it was pissing down all day which put people off so 40k was reasonable.

I was there for the Storm game and it was electric, packed house, tense game, tense finish. Thats what footy was all about. We get that against the Cowboys and Titans too. Another Brisbane team would see a few more 50k games at Suncorp. (Broncos vs Titans, Cowboys, 2nd Brisbane team - 2nd Brisbane team vs Broncos, Titans, Cowboys would rack 50k)

What do you think of Titans moving derby games against Broncos/Cowboys to Suncorp to get 50k crowds?

I'd like to see more games at Suncorp and one game in Brisbane every week.. you see Sydney and Melbourne and they get 3-4 NRL and AFL games a week in there respective sports, something which we dont get in Brisbane - an NRL game in Brisbane every week would be great and would also put more pressure on the Lions.

I thought after getting 47 and 48k last year that Titans would play thier home against bris at suncorp, 27k was still a sellout, but i would like to see it up there
Cowboys should be at skilled.

Id like to get the fans of bris/west and sunny coast to vote on their preferred option

Why do we need Adelaide? It should be used the same way Tas is in the AFL.

No need for a team.

I would agree with you...

BUT we've been told by Foxtel and TV broadcasters that we need a presence in places like Adelaide and Perth for us to get the kind of deal the AFL got last time round.

We can argue until we're blue in the face about the buying power of NSW and Qld and how we're in the 7 of the 10 biggest metro areas in the country but unless the people with the money agree it gets us nowhere.

Bringing back the Bears is necessary for Rugby League to move forward.

The Super League war still leaves a bitter taste in many people's mouths. Bringing back the Bears on the Central Coast would put a full-stop on the whole debacle.

Rugby League's treatment of the Bears was a disgrace. It's convenient for some to pretend the whole thing never happened, but it did.

The best way for Rugby League to apologise would be to give Bears supporters their team back.
