2021. The economies of both South Australia and the Northern Territory are in the toilet after the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The solution? A Merger.




over the years, the new states sporting landscape became consolidated under a new body, the Centralia Sports and Athletics Association or CPAA. Under this new body, the old football, netball, cricket, basketball and rugby organisations from SA and the NT were merged, re branded or re invented.

The Centralia Football League replaced the SANFL and NTFL in 2021.

It consists of two conference, the north, including the NT based clubs, and the south, housing the SA based.

Northern Clubs

The Tigers, the last winners of the NTFL, agreed to share the new title of 'Premiers' with their southern Tiger cousins. The two clubs also agreed to share the wearing of a new Gold logo.

At the expense of the Tiwi Bombers, the Central Redtails were established out of Alice Springs, realizing a decades long ambition of entering and remaining in a top flight competition.

Southern Clubs

The Rangers were established to fill a void left after Sturts merger. The club become based out of Mt Barker, and drew their playing ranks from across the hills zone.

Sturt and South Adelaide merged after both clubs revealed a dire financial situation after the 2020 lockout. In an odd compromise, the Sturt half of the merger insited on a light blue away jumper and that the logo remain dark blue at all times.

West Adelaide are probably the most controversial new entity in the Centralian sporting landscape. Much like the Sturt/South Adelaide merger it came out of a serious financial crisis out after the 2020 lock out.

During the latter stages of the quarantine many questioned whether or not the Port Adelaide Football club would survive.
By the end of the year, it was obvious that the club would never be able to field two teams across two competitions.Faced with this situation, the club honored it's history, keeping the Magpies and the famous prison bars, and dissolving the Power.

i reckon for each conference there would be a top 4 with 1st vs 2nd play in a qualifier and 3rd vs 4th in an eliminator, the winner of the Qualifier will advance to the preliminary and the loser of the Qualifier play the winner of the eliminator in a semi final and who ever wins the game will advance to the conference, the preliminary final will be the winner of the qualifier vs the loser of the semi and the winner goes to the conference final, The Conference final to be played at the Adelaide Oval and TIO Stadium depending what Conference but the winner will advance to the Grand Final at the Adelaide Oval and the winner takes it all

But maybe make Nightcliffs Home all gold so it won’t be confusing and change the Darwin Wanderers name to something else I reckon,
