Hi All,

Thanks for your feedback last week regarding ideas for the CFC Official MatchDay Program. The club released the Program on Friday afternoon.

I am curious to hear your feedback.

The aim is for the user to consume the guide on a smart phone, tablet, etc but it can be downloaded and printed off.

I hope you find I implemented several of your suggestions.

I don't think much improving needs to be done anyway, that's fantastic, great job. The notes on each player are good and the information seems pretty comprehensive with a nice presentation. Certainly something you can take the the footy and refer to.

+1.

Excellent work Jono. Going to hold off reading it til before the game tomorrow. Keep up the great work.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Sweet, that is awesome, not too many changes need to be made to that.

And it saves us all from spending 5 bucks a week on the Footy Record, which has very little about the Pies in it each week anyway.

Thanks to you and the club for this JB.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Was just going through it quickly looked pretty awesome, saves me buying a record too

After I've gone over it in depth I'll post ideas for improvements but right now i can't see any

Wow, I knew Andrew Krakouer had a good pre season, but bloody hell, those stats are amazing.;):p

Oh, and one thing, lots of the "oldies" like to mark down the goals and points, there doesn't seem the typical "middle page" that was in the footy record.

Just a thought, not compulsory for me though.:)

That is quality JB.:thumbsu:

The only thing I'd like to see added would be where the NAB Cup stats are for each individual player in the 25. Obviously the H&A season stats will replace those but also career stats against that team. I understand it would be a difficult task but thought I'd ask anyway.

We won't need the record at all anymore.:D

Brilliant effort Jonathon.:thumbsu::thumbsu:
A big thanks to those who compiled this. Looks great and has all the info you could want.
Is this Collingwood only initiative?

Haven't read it in depth yet cause I want to save it for tomorrow, but it looks great! Has all the stuff I'd want to read, and i don't have to skip a bunch of crap that i don't care about to get to it. Plus it works great on my phone, who needs paper :)

Specially love the radio broadcast guide, saves having to go through all the stations to first work out which ones doing our game, and then work out which commentators are calling it - so i know whether its worth listening to or not.

Thanks Jonathon, Great job!

Also impressed! As someone just said, replaces the need to buy a record haha. And I didn't realise Simon Buckley had such a great pre-season!

Good stuff Jonathon :thumbsu:

yep agree with the above, great work. love the stats pages, particularly stats like running bounces, spoils, metres gained etc - you don't see those kinds of stats in mainstream publications. if you could publish even more 'weird' stat categories, that'd make things even better :thumbsu:

damn good 1st up production JB. well done. i only say damn good cos i know it will keep improving. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

how long has this been in the pipeline - i suspect a fair bit more than the few weeks notice you gave us. ;)

will the AFL or footy record have issues with this ? if it spreads as i suspect, and if features like the G&B page etc, could its impact on sales see these 'profit is god' organisations try to shut you down ?

Love it.

Great initiative JB, I'm seconding the printable center page stat boxes idea (for us oldish farts to keep on marking the G/B's etc)

You had this in the Gameday Book JB:

The VFL season will launch next week with Tarkyn Lockyer’s men travelling to Frankston on
Sunday 3 April at 2:00pm. Collingwoodfc.com.au will announce the 2011 side on Monday.

but in Today's VFL Report it had this:

Stay tuned to Collingwoodfc.com.au this week to find out the 22 players making up this year's VFL side.

So is it still coming out today JB?
