Hes had a good year playing on pretty much noone each week. Would I want him playing a similar role for us at the moment? No.

Chad will play his 250th AFL game this weekend and Broges thinks Chad should go around again in 2013.

Chad not finished yet: Brogan

DEAN Brogan has implored his good mate and fellow Greater Western Sydney veteran Chad Cornes to extend his playing career to a 15th AFL season next year.

Following 239 games with Port Adelaide, Cornes announced a "mutual decision" for him to retire after the round 20 match against Collingwood last season, but there were some that felt he still had plenty left in the tank.

On Sunday, he will play his 250th game when the Giants take on Hawthorn at the MCG.

He has impressed in 2012 and Brogan, who spent 11 seasons alongside Cornes at the Power, is adamant he should continue playing in 2013.

He will be very lucky to play another game.

I agree with others, the right move by Port.

your right. his career is over due to complications.

always sad to see a career end like that

FWIW Chad's guernsey number is 53 this year (was 11 last year) so I don't think he'll be playing unless there's an injury crisis at GWS. Same with Brogan.

He chose 53 - he wanted it last year, but they wouldn't let him. As younger players were needing higher numbers, they let him swap 11 for 53 this year.

He'll still play games this year.

Depends on his knee really, was one of the Giants best last year and was in far better form in 2012 than all our KPD's. Best case scenario he will be back around Round 12 and if he makes it will probably play the last 5-10 games for the year
