Champion Data has officially jumped the shark.

How good is Norf's list?

  • Best in the AFL. I only sniff glue occasionally.

  • Top 4 caliber.

  • Potentially top 8 material.

  • Mediocre, where its been for 20 years.

  • Not much better than Gold Coast.

  • Actually worse than Gold Coast.

North Melbourne is also predicted to have a bumper season with its list ranked sixth overall

GWS' midfield contains Kelly, Coniglio, Whitfield, Ward, Taranto & Hopper. Champion Data rates it 12th best.

Pretty sure the rankings are affected by injuries (like Tom Mitchell is not considered elite). So Kelly and Ward wouldn't contribute as much as you might think. Add to that the fact that their ruck division is woeful, and it results in a 12th place ranking. I still would've thought it would be higher, but who knows how this shit works.

Even worse is that the Dogs' defence is ranked 2nd, yet we conceded the 3rd most goals to opposition key forwards and were somewhere around the bottom 6 for points scored against us. I genuinely can't understand how we've ended up 2nd for defence. If anything, that's the main weakness in our side

However, the boffins don't have the same fondness for a Geelong backline that conceded the fewest points in the competition last year.
The Cats have been ranked a lowly 16th for defence, ahead only of Carlton and wooden spooners Gold Coast.

CD, you guys need to lay off the cough syrup. Seriously guys, we are worried about you.

Always West Coke and Hawscum supporters whinging about something who cares what Champion Data say we all know the Tigers will win anyway. :richmond:
Fight for second between yourselves minnows:rainbow:

It makes very little sense. Like Geelong's backline conceding fewest points (admittedly thanks to the Cheat Ground) but their defense being rated 16th. Wait, actually I have no problem with that but GWS' midfield being 12th is a joke when its by far the deepest in the comp and was even with Ward injured.

Doggies' defense is one of the worst in the league so Champion Data must rate your defenders as individual stat padders, rather than as a unit.

I think Caleb Daniel and Matt Suckling must be what's causing it. Both rated as elite by CD. Daniel I can sort of understand, but Suckling was a surprise to say the least. Our defence overall would be bottom 6 at the very least in my opinion. Maybe Keath improves it somewhat, but nowhere near the realm of 2nd place

How the hell can the Tigers be ranked No1 in defence when according to the rest of the competitions supporters we are the worst?
Its Richmond's supporters we don't rate.
