This give me the opportunity to tell my favourite champion data story.

So there's that knob who worked for champion data that often appeared on SEN every week? Some of you would know who I'm talking about?

So it's half time of the 2014 GF, and I tune into SEN just to hear what the guys have to say having listened to the tv commentary til that point.

So this knob, who has a snotty, high and mighty attitude on SEN because he reads out a bunch of useless stats every week, comes on. We all know how one sided that first half of the 14 GF was? And this douchebag comes on and reveals that everything champion data said was going to occur in the game to that point, the opposite happened!

I've never forgotten it, and it affirmed in my mind that champions data is a useless organisation with useless people.

Pretty sure the rankings are affected by injuries (like Tom Mitchell is not considered elite). So Kelly and Ward wouldn't contribute as much as you might think. Add to that the fact that their ruck division is woeful, and it results in a 12th place ranking. I still would've thought it would be higher, but who knows how this shit works.

Even worse is that the Dogs' defence is ranked 2nd, yet we conceded the 3rd most goals to opposition key forwards and were somewhere around the bottom 6 for points scored against us. I genuinely can't understand how we've ended up 2nd for defence. If anything, that's the main weakness in our side

Our defence was 2nd best last year and we are ranked 10th.
