No wonder this squad is so unlikable when the manager of Dark Arts FC whinges non stop.

He was lucky not the receive a red card himself btw but his rhetoric is they're hard done by. Such an odious little weasel.

€100m release fee. Fees value for money nowadays.

Dan Ashworth(now at United) sold him for £1m a couple of seasons back.
To be fair, Gyokeres only blossomed under Coventry City's superior player development system. I'm 100% certain that Ellis Simms will also develop into a world-class striker 😃

They should get Jose in to make them more likeable and more attacking

Was just wondering how it was possible to have no idea of any Spurs results, but are following it enough to know what the Arsenal manager has been saying “non-stop”.

Has he this season? Just know of this morning and the Rice incident I saw on the news.

As for "non-stop" that's clearly a multi-seasonal issue being referenced. I highly doubt he's changed his stripes this campaign.

He's been whining for seasons and seldom gives his opponent praise when his team loses. Always has refereeing to complain about.

Fair enough. And yeah, he’s still a knob.

SAF won 6 league titles and 1 CL in his final 10 years. Suggesting SAF should have retired 10 years earlier to be “better off” in 2024 is the same as saying the Glazers are great football owners and all they needed was a younger manager to win the same 6 league titles and 1 CL… and so much more. Yikes.
SAF's run finally came to an end when the gravy train of ridiculous academy talent came to an end.

That academy run will never be repeated by anyone.

it's makes much more sense for clubs to sell their academy talent these days rather than play them. except the foden's and saka's of the world who become top class.

I agree with this sentiment. I rather liked the group format where there was something to play for even for 3rd placed teams. There were generally very few dead rubbers in the old CL format.

I can see come January plenty of dead rubbers with this new format. There are already too many games in January as it is. Imagine a team playing League Cup semis, FA cup fixtures, league & CL fixtures. If that is where we are in January and we are qualified by then if everything goes according to plan I can see Slot rotating hugely for the final two CL group stage fixtures.

Everyone plays 8 group games. If UEFA must shoehorn extra teams in 7 groups of 5 is the way to go. 8 group games. Top 2 from each group into R16 along with 2 best 3rd placed teams.

Teams should never have been allowed to drop back into another comp after failing in one

In general no, but it does mean more competitive games as there's something to play for.

Unfortunately for Spurs there was no competitions to drop down into after your conference league 3rd place finish....

When I'm so disgusted with a sport that I feel the need to walk away from it the first thing do is check twatter to see how my rivals are getting on. :D

You're a weird man.

Followed me around in 3 threads now with the same commentary, presumably because you can't handle it that people think you're cheats. I am happy for forgo watching games until you're sanctioned.

You're only interested in praise, so I'll try for you.
Credit where its due, 4 Premier League titles and numerous cup competition trophies is an impressive achievement. Right up there with Lance Armstrong's 7 Tour De France wins. 👏

As for twitter, you understand how a feed works? I sought out nothing. I scrolled my feed and found it.

I'm actually quite enjoying the greater variety of matchups

This. I have seen teams get drawn the same opponent like 3 times across 4-5 years. Once season the group was the same minus one team, as the year before. Gets boring, especially if it happens to your own team. Whilst teams do have a little less to play for, many groups we were over after match day 4. Where now, we have teams still in contention for the first round of knock off byes, and teams like PSG on the brink of missing out. I like the idea of playing 8 different teams, than the same 3 teams twice.

FWIW I have watched a bit of lower league football and some women's games. My issue isn't with football as a sport, it's with how its treated right at the top end of the game.

Arsenal and Liverpool are the current media darlings in the UK, but at some point they will turn on Arteta and his non-stop excuses. They've never lost a game fairly and they don't push him on it. They let him get away with lie after lie.
