I am a fan of Duryea, have also gone back and watched his 4 goals, why would you say he had nothing to do with any of them? He has no responsibility in defensive transition?

Despite his low stats we really need Art Jones back in the team to improve our front half pressure. Been a common theme this year when he hasn't played that we are not defending the ground well. Much rather his speed and pressure than A Scott in the fwd line this week.
We also just need some more natural forwards in the team, Flea and Marra are the only 2 we've selected in the whole team
No I agree it's not a like for like replacement. However, I think you gain more out of Cleary in the team than you do with keeping Doc in even if it's not a positional match. We have smalls who could be shifted and do a decent job in the Dureya role if super necessary.
I disagree. Can't have a bloke not touching the footy for entire games, getting games, IMO.
Team selection this week looks fine. Over to the boys now.
I’ve loved Doc from day one mate. But his form has been putrid and we are losing games. It just raises the issue around consistency in selection.

I believe Charlie Clarke is close to getting a game so you'd expect to see him in next before Arty i feel

Has also struggled in the 2’s.
Supporters talk about selection integrity. Arty getting games on the back of recent performances would send the worst possible message to the rest of the playing group.
We would have plenty more integrity issues with selection than AJ. Especially historically, I think that ship sailed long ago. Even then in AJ’s infamous 0 touch game he still at least applied the forward pressure that we needed.
No issues with Clark getting ahead of him though but AJ would be a good sub for a game or two.

Was up in Sydney last week and went to watch the 2s as well and it really wouldn't, His workrate off the ball was exceptional and he was stiff to have hit the post otherwise it would've been a fantastic game

I just had a look at last weeks stats. Didn’t realise he played ok. Was thinking the weeks prior where he didn’t get near it.
Probably need to see more of last week before being considered. Someone like Arty, with the ground he covers and attack on the contest should really be getting 15+ disposals and hitting the score board several times per game at VFL level week in week out. Hopefully we don’t see anymore of the prior few weeks form and he finds himself back in the team. We were far better off when he was playing well as our main small fwd.
In theory all our forwards this week should be having monster games against the struggling Bullants so would like him to turn it into a 5 goal 20 disposal game and bang down the door

They love his energy and perhaps he could be a player that could benefit from a better standard of football
He and weightman would definitely feed off each other.

He's listed starting on the bench for now but I really hope Bevo starts him at the first centre bounce with Bont & Libba. The coaching staff need to back him early on to set up his confidence for the whole game. This is a situation where the status quo needs to be changed instead of just 'hoping' things will turn around.
Bevo doing the sensible thing and giving Baz confidence? Can't see it happening but hopefully it does. I full expect Bevo to put Baz on the wing.

He just seems to show moments in the VFL that suggest his game will transfer to the AFL. Not sure he's really nailed the 'staying involved' bit yet but keen to see his progress after a full pre season.
I think he'll pleasantly surprise us next year.
Hopefully Bruce will go forward to help Naughton and Weightman
Why would he do that when he's been playing full back all year and we brought Buku in who has been playing forward all year. I'd be even more annoyed if that happened and would want the coach sacked. I agree they should swap but Buku and Bruce should be playing those roles in the 2s to prepare
