I wouldn’t go with Frampton regardless of McKay’s availability, but if they go that way one of Membrey or Cox misses and I just don’t see it being Membrey. In terms of a sub I’m going to have Elliott as a smoky. He’s started the season strongly, but there seems to be a concerted push on load management this year and I like the concept of a senior player starting in the vest.
That’d be advocating half a rest the week after a bye?
Really?
Very Smokey.

You’re now half a rester!!
Not you, too, Scoey!!!!!

These guys are full time professional athletes and AFL Players. They are trained to do this.

TDK is not an issue. Cameron is more than good eenough. TDK has played against 3 average teams this year and Carlton are still winless. That's a stat you can't measure
Average? He was outstanding against the Dogs. I think he had 28 possessions! He is incredibly athletic and has excellent skills at ground level. He will jump over the top of DC but hopefully Darcy can be just as effective around the ground.

But they lost anyway. How can he be such a concern to you. We are actually much better than the 3 sides that beat them

Footy doesn't work like that and never has. It's like saying Melbourne are a better team than us because they only lost by two points to the Giants and they smashed us by 52.

I've watched all of Carlton's losses and they have been very good for large periods of time in all of them. Do you really think we are a much better side than Hawthorn?

TDK is very good around the ground and is a bit like having an extra mid, but he lost the hitouts to Nankervis, broke even with Meek and lost the hitouts to English. Cameron will beat him in the ruckwork, and probably beat him in marking contests too.

Much, Much better

From an outside point of view I can’t see how it’s in Harry’s best interest to be playing this week. The personal pressure is one point but having the added pressure of the teams position to perform is doubling all players performances required.
If Carlton don’t win and Harry’s performance is sub par this only adds more personal pressure from outside.

It would make 100% more sense to wait until the following week when the Blues have an easy kill against the WCE.

Also McGovern is injured and managing a groin which would also benefit Harry for his personal performance for that match.

If he's that ****ed up mentally, I want Harry to play

Disaster if he's a late out. We need all their spuds playing.

I just want to know what the sentence you bolded means?

Also McGovern is injured and managing a groin which would also benefit Harry for his personal performance for that match.

Do we see a rise from Harry when McGovern is "managing" his groin?

That McGovern is injured. I'd prefer him playing.
