So Gollant as second ruck all game, has he done that before?

Carlton ruck is De Koning and whilst serviceable ruck he isn’t like Max Gawn.

Either play him in the afl (which they should be) or leave him playing in the sanfl. Travelling emergency is a complete waste of time.It would actually be a more AFC thing to play Dowling next week, as sub, off the back of one good SANFL game, a travelling emergency gig and three weeks with no footy.
Followed by then dropping him for 7 weeks.
Not only did we play him, but we played him in the role he excelled at as a junior which resulted in him getting drafted which also happens to be the position he which he will continue to play at AFL level. And lo and behold he looks comfortable and confident in his role form day 1.
As opposed to throwing every young mid onto the HFF to rot cause they couldn't possibly handle playing on the midfield at AFL level even if they were considered "good enough" to displace the might of Laird and Crouch on the ball...
Honestly this club is so many levels of ****ed. The delusion to actually watch our first 4 games and think our midfield is performing well is absolutely astounding. Dowling not getting a debut last week is disgusting. It is so hard to remain passionate about this football club when they throw up this garbage every single year.....and just when you think they may have turned tyhings around they completely * it up again.
I suspect we will have a few more failed coaches before we have one that takes us all the way.So history looks to be a pretty good guide here.
The rebuild coach is very rarely the messiah that gets you to the premiership.
We hoped MN was the rare unicorn, but he is actually just the mule required to take the load before the race horse arrives.
The club (Not unexpectedly) pulled the wrong lever, now it’s up to the club to not head down the wrong path for too long before they fix the mistake.
I have very very little faith that this will happen before we are past the point of another prolonged dip.
Sigh.
25 years without a premiership could so easily become 35.
I thought last year we did not cut enough into our list and certainly the lack of suitable replacement options confirms this
Over-contracting duds and re-signing players they shouldn't have has left us with a ton of players that just shouldn't be considered for selection at all.
There's at least 6-8 players that are deadwood on the list
I'm just happy Cook, Nankervis and Gollant are getting a game.
Always thought these guys have been harshly done by with selection.
I hope they go well and keep their spots
But I don't understand Worrell on the bench and Hamill selected on the ground.
Would have been good to see Oskar Ryan get a game instead of Hamill
And hoping Dowling puts in another good effort to earn selection next week.
I'm not sure if I have seen a player with less awareness on a footy field than HamillHamill is like the raging bull that has been lobotomised. You know he is going to go full throttle and hurt himself.
I'm not sure if I have seen a player with less awareness on a footy field than Hamill
He is just an accident waiting to happen
Was a bit of a rant, i feel betterI had a dizzy spell reading that but do agree.

You're not wrong but... Smith! We simply had to make a senior player accountable this week.
The easy option was Hinge. He has been around a few years but not part of the furniture so it would have been easy for our brainless coaches to wrap their head around. He is costing us multiple goals a game with awful turnovers and not offering much else.
But nope, we are hoping for that one win which will justify the most conservative selection policy in the comp.

I was at the game and he ignored a short pass to Keays in the first quarter. Copped a spray from Keays for it and kicked his few next ones to him.At least Cook is getting a second consecutive game.
Upside all round!
Burgess is averaging only 2 CBA's per game (8 from 4 games) so shouldn't be much of a burden on him. Plus Tex usually takes the F50 ball ups.So Gollant as second ruck all game, has he done that before?

Have you thought about the fact, we are entering round 5 .....and there's only been one SANFL gameI have no ******* idea what we are doing any more. What are they seeing that makes them think that the players in the team are performing well enough that their selection cant be questioned, AND THEN, for the few changes that we are making, bringing in guys that aren't performing that well in the SANFL, AND have not performed that well in the AFL in the past, AND not picking younger players that have significantly more upside?
Selection policy this year is even worse than normal, have they gone into full body mental cramps stopping them from being able to think due to the shock of the new game plan being completely unable to work against current AFL teams and with the list they have? Despite all evidence that last year's game plan was at least not that far off the mark?
Coaching is so bad this year, I wouldn't be completely shocked if we delisted players this year, they get picked up by a decent coach, and win a flag. Zero faith in anything we are doing any more.

Forget scratch matches (reserves level) ......selectors have gone for players with a number of PS's under their belt ....versus kids that will barely last a half
Smith is too boys club to be a droppable option. Unfortunately. You're not wrong but... Smith!
So long as there is no concussion incident in this game. Are we obligated to pick Hamill to a degree when possible?
To show that his concussions (and our management of them) didn't end his AFL career
