Shepp will take Kersten - Stanley is another tall who might be up there

Stanley will spend more than 80% of the game as our number 1 ruckman, he'll spend less than 10% of it up forward, he generally does it very late in games in the 4th quarter junk time.

Recently we've been setting up like this:

FF Kersten Clark Lang
HF Gregson Hawkins Murdoch

with Johnson/Stokes rotating in as our 7th forward (when the other players are on the bench) playing as a high half forward when they isn't playing in the middle.

Given this is shaping as a fairly important game, I'd be happy to go for minimal disruption.

Colledge in for Yeo.

Selwood into the 21 and Colledge to sub.

Bennell very lucky to keep his spot under this scenario.

Not sure about Colledge but wont be tagged in the AFL so that is a big bonus if he plays Sunday . Colledge may start in the 21 also , Barrass could take Bennell's spot also .

Should an important and good game .

McGinnity is herpes... You think it's gone but really it's just lurking about waiting to reappear and ruin your weekend ...
I liken him more to this gastro ive got. Constant pains in the gut followed by throwing up in my mouth a bit and constantly pi***ng s**t everywhere.

Enjoy your dinner.

Shep will have to hit the gym hard this offseason if he wants to keep playing the third tall defender role!
He has held up so far. Against gold coast he was left 1 out with the dixon mis match a couple times and got the fist in.

Last week Stanley and Blicavs shared the ruck role fairly evenly - with a slight advantage to Stanley

Bennell is such a curly one - we need his pace - but not his brainfarts

We look better down back with him in there - but you have to see us without him to see that - well most weeks - last week i cheered when he was subbed

But he is so little and tries hard had lots of diversity he was just unlucky he couldnt make amends . I am sure he will

Good to see Barrass getting acknowledged with extended selection but unless there is a cloud over a taller defender I don't think he makes the cut. Interesting that Hutchings hasn't even been selected in the 25. Final 22 should be Colledge IN ~ Yeo OUT. Selwood to starting 21, Colledge to sub.

As for the Cats I think they will go in unchanged unless a player is ruled out with injury. A running midfielder like Sam Blease would be a handy player at Domain but. What's the expected weather conditions?

I hope you're going to be at the airport to greet the Geelong players...

I think we are going to go down this weekend. Might set a little multi on it actually. :(
Geelong is a good bet at $3.00 but I would be disappointed to the max if we lose this one. It is imperative if we are to be bullish about our 2016 campaign that the boys acquit themselves well in these next four games.

I rate Geelong, North, Essendon and Richmond as around where we are this year (Essendon probably lower depending how they go with the stress of the WADA saga)...but I rate us better when at full strength (which comes back to the 2016 campaign).

Throw Collingwood and GWS into that mix, and reluctantly the SA teams, and you have the 9 clubs that will be vying for the remaining positions of the top 8 (remaining = not top 3, which will be Fremantle, Sydney, and Hawthorn provided they pull their collective finger out).

Not much love for Bennell on here? Yep he makes some mistakes but many of his mates do the same. I still don't get why he was dropped last year and for me he is very important to us down back. I hope the MC continue to invest time in him as I think he adds some class and speed to the side. If players were wiped out because of the odd brain fart then we would have no one on our list. Selwood and Masten we have put up with for over 100 games doing it. Side is going well and developing nicely, don't try and fix something which is not broken. Make only the changes forced on you.

Against St Kilda, Bennell looked out of sorts.

Not a case of the odd brain fart but deep knowledge void that said to me he was not in tune with the team plan. I love his pace but when it is used to get to a contest once lost and to stand on the mark, I question the relevance of selecting him

Fortunately the MC looks at far bigger samples than one game. I agree he was poor against the Saints but he has been reasonably good most of the year. Well worth persevering with in my opinion.

Yep, and that's why he's continually playing in the twos.

Worth persevering with definitely, but at WAFL level for a while IMO

Offensively bennel is useful with his speed and ball use, but unfortunately he is a bit of a defensive liability. Even with his pace he always seems to be trailing behind his man, and when he isn't he is usually out muscled anyway.

I think it's a function of his past knee reco, he clearly has issues busting his boiler to hit a defensive contest hard.

Yep, this exactly. The fact he was constantly late to the contest was what was so frustrating about his game against the Saints.
