This week I've been waiting for replays of Charlie's runs down the wing from the game. It didn't feature in any of the highlights put out by the AFL or AFC. It's understandable as he didn't finish either off well, especially the one he kicked OOF.

But damn this guy is exciting and will continue to provide countless memorable moments. The way the crowd reacted as he ran along the wing and weaved through opponents was brilliant. If he improves his finishing as he gets experience he could be anything.

So if people could post his highlights this thread will hopefully be filled with countless "Randy Marsh" moments for all AFC supporters.

Pure class!! Always had the skills, speed & aggression so it is pretty exciting now he's also built up the tank during the off season to show them off :) been my "man love" for a while now haha :D solid ave off 87.5 I'm getting in RDT atm aswell!

That was a mighty fine "run down the wing" as you can see I've already named it his haha can't get better then Eddies pocket & Charlies Wing :D I've seen the replay somewhere will try find & post later today, along with my favourite memories so far - his follow up tackle (after maybe that run or another recently??) will be right up there, that was beast mode!! Lol

I just like that he has the confidence to take the game on with those sorts of runs. He only seemed to gain that confidence right at the end of last year. I think the Sydney final did wonders for his self-belief and he now realises what he is capable of.

It's definitely clicked for him that, if he receives the ball ahead of a player, he will not be caught by them if he takes them on.

I really like him on the wing.
I think he's taken it further, knowing that, against the vast majority of players, he has the speed to simply run around them, even if they are ahead of him.

I swear we have a heap of CC threads going around :p Deservedly so, though.

Like that he has the self-belief to take the opposition on not just once every fortnight now, but a couple of times a game. Also love that he's increased his production by getting a bit more cheap ball and putting in even more second efforts. If he can become a 22 disposal, 7 tackle, 1 goal per game wingman, he'll be more than devastating.

Love what Charlie brings but I have to be critical on those two poor deliveries. The first one kicked on the ground was unfortune, but the out on the full (although humorous at the time because we were so far up) is not acceptible. Please don't think I am being too harsh, all that work to outrun his opponents meant nothing the moment they had the ball back in their hands due to poor disposal. If he can refine that part of the game....disposal coming off afterburners then he will be absolutely amazing.

Excited by his potential...!!!

I'm looking forward to him burning off Dangerfield on a run, then delivering to Tex on the chest.

The other great SPP moment was when D-Mac kicked that goal.. SPP's effort was pretty average to say the least.

Meh, SPP is already a superstar after 2 good games - why work harder, right? I'm surprised they haven't already handed him a 5 year extension on top dollars. Just waiting for the pay deal to get finalised, I assume.

agreed, may as well get Smith to bomb it 70m from the wing at that point.

his pass to Otten in the Showdown was magic though, he's more than capable.

I have always been a tad critical of CC. Has the ability but wasn't converting. Like the Blues Brothers I am starting to see the light. His disposal has improved but not great yet. But he has been breaking the zones more often and creates more scoring opportunities. Second half of this year and next season he is going to be unstoppable.

There was a play on the weekend where the crows player just kicked it forward to a 1 on 1 with charlie... and you just knew charlie would win it even if he was starting behind in the play.

It seems like Charles has become so good at tackling the AFL has decided he needs to tackle two people in the space of five seconds before they can pay him a free kick.

This GIF shows how freakishly strong Charlie is for a small package, he's able to throw both guys around pretty easily, Vlastuin would have 10kgs on charlie, Rance would have almost 20kgs on him.

I think Charlie should be teaching other players how to tackle. He has great fundamentals. He attacks the hips with speed, pushes into the opponent to push them off balance and generally manages to grab an arm. It is text book perfect.

That one against Rance where he got the holding the ball, he pushed with his hips and the arm around Rance's arm was able to just pull him back enough so that Rance couldn't get the kick away. Very clever.

He out marked and out tackled Danger nicely in our game against them at home last year. But the commentators didn't really want to notice that at the time in lieu of talking up Danger instead.

Did you just call his package small?!

Hahaha nice one.
I was spewing when the first one wasn't paid but the way he hunts the contest gave me hope it wasn't over yet.
Love the Charles; he is doing the jumper number proud.
