BBC and everyone now officially reporting that Sarri to Juve is done, had been hearing that Paratici was at the club having the discussions. Last thing now I guess is the official club confirmation.

Have to say from the names being floated I'd rather we give Frankie a go, and really back him. (Wishful thinking looking at our track record).
I don't think Rafa should come back, can't see Nuno leaving Wolves or even Gracia leaving Watford. Rangnick is an interesting option thrown in there and seems to have a respectable record and influence at RB Leipzig.

Never a dull off season hey.

I’m optimistic about Super Frank. We need a manager who has the respect of the players and Frank’s status at the club guarantees that. There’s no way the brats in the change rooms conspire against a legend. Plus hardcore tacticians have an expiry date at Chelsea. We need to try something different and he’s the ideal solution. From all reports he was admired at Derby and almost had them promoted, so he’s obviously no mug when it comes to management.

The fact that he will have a free ticket next season and will be somewhat experimental really excites me. Our managers in the past have been way too conservative, so hopefully we get to see a bunch of hungry kids desperate to prove themselves.

Sources: Chelsea to offer Lampard 3-year deal
Chelsea will make a formal approach to Derby County for manager Frank Lampard this week and want to offer their former midfielder a three-year contract to succeed Maurizio Sarri, sources have told ESPN FC.

Sarri's departure to take over at Juventus was confirmed on Sunday, with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia having said the 60-year-old had asked to be allowed to return to Italy in order to be closer to his family and friends. Lampard has been identified as the preferred choice to take over, with former Chelsea academy coach Jody Morris and fitness coach Chris Jones expected to join him in returning to Stamford Bridge.

Derby want to keep Lampard after a positive first season in which he led a vibrant young team to the Championship play-off final, and are understood to have offered him a contract extension to underline how highly he is valued at Pride Park. Chelsea would be required to pay £4 million to release Lampard from his Derby deal, but are well placed to do so after Granovskaia secured around £5m from Juventus in the agreement which took Sarri to Turin.

"There's no change in the situation at present, except for the fact that Chelsea no longer have a manager," Derby owner Mel Morris said in a statement to talkSPORT on Monday. "We have made it clear to everyone, but most importantly to Frank himself, that we want to retain him at the club for the long term. "If Chelsea want to hire Frank, then it is in their gift to make an offer in pursuit of that. In the meantime, we will continue to put our best foot forward to continue with our plans for the coming season. "We will work closely with Frank in that regard, so that he knows how much he is wanted by everyone associated with the club."

I wonder what happens with Jorginho this season? Frank probably wouldn’t play with a deep lying playmaker, so is his spot in the XI in jeopardy? I assume Kante goes back to his natural position. Does Bakayoko get in? Will be interesting to see how he sets up.

It's gonna be very interesting to see what he does, but nonetheless it would be awesome to see NG go back to his natural position.
Just have to hope that Bakayoko can break all expectations and play a good role for us, we seem to have plenty of central midfield numbers now - NG, RLC, Mount, Jorginho, Barkley, Bakayoko. (Don't think we can count Drinkwater). One thing I've always said we've lacked since Frankie left us is a piercing midfielder like himself, Barkley has shown glimpses but not consistently enough.

Frank favours 3 in the CM so I still think he'll play a lot, I guess more like he does for Italy than as a Regista.

CM looks a real strength of ours with Kante, Jorginho, Barkley, RLC, Bakayoko and Mount.

What is everyones thoughts on the members from our loan army that will be coming back to contribute next season?

I hope Tammy, Mount and Zouma get some gametime.

Me.

Zouma replaces Cahill.

Tammy to remain with Giroud and Michy as our CFs.

Hang onto Kenedy and look to sell in January, Need him for back up until CHO is fit.

I'd sell Zappacosta and have James back up Azpi.

Sell Drinkwater and not sign Kovacic, bring back Bakayoko and Mount. Maybe look to loan Mount out in January when RLC is back to full fitness.

Loan out Ampadu to Aston Villa which seems to be the talk. Give Tomori a prem loan too.

Cumming to replace Green as third keeper.

Tempted to keep Dasilva and flip Alonso. Really rate Jay as a LB and he'll be a handy footballer.

I just had an in depth look at our loan army and our current squad.

CF: Recall Tammy and Michy to compete with Giroud. Let them all fight it out for first choice, or rotate.

Wing: Get Pulisic in and rotate him, Pedro and Willian as our wingers with Kenedy rotating for cup games until CHO comes back.

Mid: Keep Kovacic, recall Baka and give Mount a Prem loan, unless Lamps trusts him enough to contribute, then one of Kovacic and Baka can depart - Jorginho/Kante/Kovacic or Mount/Baka/Barkley should be fine until RLC comes back.

RB/LB: Reece James can cover for Azpi at RB. Don't think we need anyone for LB. Kenedy can cover if need be. Mabye look to sell Baba.

CB: Recall Zouma and have Zouma, Christensen and Luiz rotating for CB until Rudi comes back. Mabye give Tomori a run in the cup games until January and give him a prem loan then.

Even if Juve did want Jorgi, I don't think we'll sell. He seems pretty happy here, he has a 4 year contract not to mention our looming transfer ban.

18 month loan like Moses so it covers the coming season.
Thanks for clarifying. I think thats a good deal for all parties involved. Morata clearly doesn't want to be back. Hopefully he does well enough next season and Atleti sign him up.
