Choco is a good coach, he just needs a change. Being at one club for 12+ years can take its toll on anyone. He would do a much better job then Knights currently is

only going up slightly after you made finals for the first time in a while is pretty ordinary though
Chocco should coach next year in his own right. If he links up with Sheedy then he won't be coaching in his own right until 2014 at the earliest. I think he will go to Essendon or West Coast (hopefully). He could take either club to a flag in a couple of years.

If you think that West Coast or Essendon are only a couple of years away from a flag you are deluded.
Can't see why Essendon would get rid of Knights, they must have gone through some sort of process to first employ him and then extend his contract, if they give him the flick now the board may as well go with him.

Still bitter much. You can call it default, I will call it the FACT that we were better than 8 other clubs come the end of the year. Sure we were a mile off being competetive but so what. At least it shut Hawks supporters like you up briefly.
While the supporters might riot. I beleive we could win only a handful more games and Knights job is safe.
The only man that would have the board second guessing would be if Bomber Thompson said he wanted the job.

If you believe the stories, Hardwick told Essendon it would take a few years to dismantle the list and that the current list was ordinary.
Knights said he could do something wiht the current list.

In that case, Richmond will be aiming for 100 thousand some time in the next 50 years.
That is not quite right. Knights HAS done a good job of clearing the list already of players that will no take us foreward, and I expect more to go come the end of this year. You can only delist so many at a time before it becomes too much. You can't have all first-second yearers filling the list, the risk in having list cloggers down the track is highly likely.
That anyone here thinks they know what was said in the meetings is purely speculative.

Perhaps Knights will be allowed next year to really fall on his sword giving Williams a little time to refresh (which he probably needs). I think Choco and the bombers would be an excellent fit and he has more coaching ability in his little toe nail than Knights. '
Choco's time was up at Port but he can definitely coach.
