Alright, i'm not usually into sticking the boots in...

But hardness can only get you so far.
Bryan is lazy, has the lowest footy IQ of any of our players and he can't ruck (which ruckmen generally need to be able to do).
Yeah, he's played some decent games, but he's generally beaten in the ruck, and relatively ineffective around the ground.

The sooner Wood comes on, the better. I think DTM will agree.

keep him , just dont play him over wood if hes going to blaze kicks away. his strengths are his hardness and kicking , when he becomes lazy both those suffer and hes hardly worth having in the team.

Unfortunately Wood is not really knocking the door down in the 2's!

But is the better option over Bryan.

Can't believe we played an undersized ruckman against the tallest ruckman in history!

The error was made at the selection table IMO.

Byran played some good football this year and the people calling for him to be delisted are kidding themselves!

Who else do we have?

Byran is still the better option over wood. I think Bryan will be a better player.

You guys love pointing the finger at this guy as the scape goat every time we lose, the fact is that we were beaten on the inside 50's 49-39 - You will never win a footy game on that stat.

Once Wood is ready to hold down the ruck, you will never see Chris Bryan again.

Needs to be retained on a 1-year contract, but hopefully that's the last one.

He can play some good footy when coming back from the seconds (because he feels slighted, or whatever), but after a couple of weeks he begins to tire and becomes useless.

Does the man realise that everytime he gets the ball he doesn't have to lay his boots into it?
yep, trying to kick a massive torp from the back pocket that landed on the chest of the opposition 45m out last night sums it up. should be dragged immediately for that rubbish imo.

True, but when is that going to happen? Maybe never on Wood's current form. Wood is also a soft as butter ruckman like Fraser and you just can't play both of them in the one side. That's why Bryan, despite his numerous deficiencies, gets a game.

As well as avoiding the recruitment of players who cannot kick, we should stop recruiting ruckmen with no physical presence.

Wood is More Physical then Fraser, Wood can Actually lay a Tackle

We badly need a big-bodied ruckmen who is strong, physical but not a hack like Bryan. Someone like a Hille or Ottens or even a Robbie Cambell.

Obviously these are not easy to come by we should aim for one in this years draft. Keep Bryan for next year as our younger ruckmen develop and he can still play the crash and bash roll.

Wood is too like Fraser in his build and can't be relied on for the physical stuff, that's why we must target a big strong, physical ruckmen.

Bryan can have some unbelievable brain fades. He actually kicks the ball well when he spots up a target. But sometimes he just tries to kick the ball long and hard and just shanks it. The dudes got serious concentration issues

On Friday night he was one of the biggest dead heads out there. He did some very stupid things. But he has shown a few times this year he can do a few good things. Wood should replace him for 1st week of finals.

And the jury still out on him getting delisted.

So you want us to get one of three contracted number 1 ruckman, all three rated highly in their team and hille and ottens rated among the best.

Perfect sense

he makes too mant basic errors for my liking.i admire the way he puts his body on the line but he has absolutely no composure when under the slightest bit of pressure.his attempted torpedo kick out of the backline brought back memories of his smothered kick in the pre lim last year.get wood back in there he is the future, play him first ruck and put fraser in goalsquare.let fraser take ruck last 10 min of quarter.

It pains me to say that Bryan is better then Wood so it does not say much, but it has been a very long time since we have had a dominate ruck combo or at least one dominate ruck man.
Bryan's brain fades hurt but in the end of that match it made little difference as we sucked
