I see many toast threads for individual efforts of players but none of this man.

The prodigal son was back today and IMO played his best game for our club.

Was sensational on every opponent that he stood. Dominated Hurley and Ryder all day.

Terrific one-on-one in the air, at ground level, spoiling be it in a contest or coming with the flight of the footy or over the top was sensational and just physically strong.

Great work from Taz today.

I called him as "back to his best" last week, when he held Riewoldt to 4 goals (including one of the ground and one after the final siren), but today he was sensational.

Embarrassed Hurley all day, great performance by Taz.

The question has to be asked, are we actually a better team with Tarrant at full back this season then last?

Super defensive effort by Taz (Reid too). On Matty's point above I don't think we are better due to Taz being better than Presti (although he is more versatile and therefore will be more consistant than N Brown) but Reid's defensive work continues to improve and I think that makes our overall unit in defence look much more sound.

Thought he was brilliant today especially one on one, he only lost one or two contests, his 1%ers were great as well.

I think he is finally settling in and has/will be a bit like Jolly and Ball last year and take a few games to settle in, then play really well.

Maxwell is a poor skilled player and can not play on a man but he has determination and is a good loose player in deffence. Deffs not an AA standard player, I dont really rate him as a footballer though but I like his as a Captain and wouldnt have anyone else over him to captain Collingwood. Btw he was terrible today.

Man, I've put 12 good years into my guns and I'm telling you, they're not bad. Good shape, good size, really good veinage. But Taz makes them look like Brad Dick arms

Taz and Reid were brilliant today, I was thinking Taz deserved a shot at the medal. But obviously I know a key defender isn't going to win it! Still, Taz was awesome today and definitely was a big hel when Essendon started crawling back.

Taz actually played on Ryder most of the day - Hurley for the most part was taken by the much smaller Maxwell and Toovey, and comfortably beaten so badly that at one stage, Hird sent Hurley to the backline.

Glad someone toasted his game as he was sensational yesterday! Absolutely destroyed Ryder in one on one's. The only time Ryder got a sniff was when he pushed up the ground to ruck.

We dont want him or need him etc.

Hawks would of given us alot better as their defense is their weak link.
