It says 100,037 since 2 July 2005 next to this post. Let's call that an even 100,000 posts in 14 years, or 7,143 posts per year.

Now instead of posting 7,000 times per year at your own pace you could send Chisco 200 posts at a time, 52 times. Then at the end of the year you would have over 10,000 posts to enjoy all at once. Just think how topical and relevant your thoughts on Geelong in Round 3 would be in December!
I hate to be picky, but at previously enumerated Crico mark-ups, you would only have 3,282 posts delivered at year end.

It’s a great business model ... skeleton crew most of the year, just need a few customer, one or two procurement, few in the warehouse, to organise all the products, then just heap of casuals at the end of the year to pick and pack...

Bet they don’t even have much warehouse space most of the year - just take short term space and get the stock late.

Get it cheaper than wholesale because it’s in bulk, shit nobody wants, and / or close to expiry.

Sell it above retail because the customers can’t work it out.

Zero wastage because you know well in advance exactly how much you’ve sold so can’t over-order.

Chasing customers for money? Bahaha haha... You get the cash months in advance. You probably pay suppliers on good terms months later. In the meantime the cash is yours.

It’s like somebody designed the perfect pisstake model and had a throw at the stumps for a joke. And it worked.

It's not even wholesale prices - in a lot of cases these are direct buy-back arrangements with suppliers arranged months in advance for cents on the dollar. For Grocery items, supplier stock overruns (generally specials that didn't sell as well as planned) are 'bought back' at further discounted prices.

If it's going to expire on the shelf before it sells, then ANYTHING they get for it is a bonus.

Don’t tease, if procurement was only this easy at my work, I’d only have to 60 hours work to do convincily stretched over 52 week instalments

Their biggest expense other than short term warehouse space is probably December staff, but even then it's only short termers not getting big dollars. I had friends do it as part time uni jobs, delivering boxes of happiness to the Chrisco belt.

Thread needs more Sauras imo.
Sup fellas. Been busy mowing the front lawn, unlike some of you peasants who like to make the street untidy because "I only rent why bother". Anyway hows everyone's hampers coming along, must say I miss Hamper King thought they were a bit better value. FYI for those ready to jump down Aldis throat, anyone on the slab of Blondes* for $30? Any of you noobs paying $48 for your furphys or probably raspberry cruisers knowing the crowd in here, are kidding yourselves, but hey, probably more convenient for you amiright?

*Ok it's a rip off version but probably nicer
