There's 2 'Edwards' (Luke and Harry), 1 Eddie (Betts), and a Brad (Sheppard) named in the Eagles/Carlton game at the SCG on Sunday.
With Brad Sheppard and Harry Edwards playing next to each other at half back for the Eagles,
it's lucky that the other Eagles half back is not a Robert or Roberts.
Otherwise Bradley Robert Edwards might be mouthing off in Hotel Casuarina about how he's playing half back for the Eagles this weekend.

Really interesting with that report of Edwards supposedly being triggered by someone who looked like one of his (assumed) victims but within seconds restraining himself but remaining silent for the rest of the day. Almost like he had a moment of self-awareness where he realised he'd let his guard slip and given away the facade that he's innocent.

Seems to be a common thing among those who maintain their innocence. I remember in the podcast Frozen Lies, Debi Marshall was recounting a couple of interviews she had with Bevan Spencer von Einem in prison and during the second interview he made a statement about the dog collar Richard Kelvin was wearing that was completely incompatible with him being innocent and immediately flipped a switch from being agreeable to becoming quite hostile like he was aware the mask had slipped.

Does make you wonder though if old mate Bradley's so fragile surely he's had similar outbursts before in front of people. Maybe part of the reason his second wife left him terrified was because he'd randomly see depictions of women on the TV and go nuts

I don’t know about justice/law wise but I do know there is a miniseries being done on the CSK and events…..not sure when production starts though. It’s going to be strange revisiting the late 80’s and the 90’s and how will they portray BRE?
I have a morbid fascination but am confident it will be respectful to his victims who as to most of us feel like our younger (forever young) sisters.

Wow, first I've heard of that but shouldn't be surprised. I think it would make for a really good series with more than enough material, I imagine it might take in the twists and turns of the investigation. Made locally. How will they portray Caporn? hah! I hope they get that right too.

I will be let in on a few snippets I guess. BRE’s history is parallel to mine, same school.same suburb…….I didn’t go out doing the things he did though……

You must have had a bit of a shock when you realised who the CSK was. I was shocked that he even got caught after all that time and I don't even live in WA.

Feel free to share snippets any time:)

If the miniseries goes ahead, what's the deal if they use a bit of "creative license" and have Bradley snatch Sarah Spiers?

You can't really make a miniseries on the CSK without a mention of Sarah as her disappearance started it all but could the producers get in any kind of legal trouble if it was made plainly obvious they were implying he was responsible for Sarah's murder after the trial?

I think a way around it is to highlight the grabs that formed part of the testimony and mix SS into one of those ie we see it but it could be conjectured to be one of many - show him driving and the radio mentions SS and you see a hint of a smile

Then specifically mention JR and CG

A player called Brad Edwards played for Perth Football Club (WAFL) in 1988. He was born in the same year as BRE. Obviously he is not BRE.

I knew a victim's sister (not very well) in the mid-1980s. She is still a teenager in my mind.

Backpacker, 22, flees from abduction ordeal.

The hysterical screams of a 22-year-old woman who had just escaped from her abductor woke a Mt Lawley family about 3am yesterday.
The woman, a backpacker from British Columbia, had been forced into a white car by a man on the corner of Roe and Fitzgerald streets, Northbridge, police said.
The man drove her to Spinoza Street in Mt Lawley, stopped the car, punched and kicked her and tried to assault her indecently.
The woman escaped and ran to the Redmans' house nearby.
Helen Redman said she leapt out of bed when she heard the screams and banging on their front window.
She found the woman on her front verandah, desperate to get in.
She was dressed in a loose blouse and jeans and was soaked from the overnight downpour and bleeding.
Mrs Redman and her husband, Jon, took the woman inside, gave her a change of clothes and rang the police.
The woman told the Redmans about her ordeal and how she had fled after the man stopped the car.
"She got as far as out wall (about 100m) when he caught her, and they had a fight. He tried to rip her jeans off and hit her in the head," Mrs Redman said.
"She had three earrings in her ear. It looked like they had been ripped out and there was blood coming from there."
The woman arrived from Adelaide on Sunday, Mrs Redman said. It is believed she planned to stay in Perth about a month.
Before the woman was abducted, she had visited friends at Paul and Scotty's Ozi Inn in Newcastle Street, and then tried to walk back to the Globe Hotel in Wellington Street, Perth.
Paul Joyce, from the Newcastle Street hostel, said that staff had seen the woman come in to visit a friend about 2am and she seemed upset. She left less than an hour later.
Earlier in the night, she had been at the Hip-E Club in Leederville.
Club director John Anderson said Tuesday night was "Back Packer Night". Staff would escort women to cabs or cars if requested.
The attacker was described as a dark-skinned man, aged 23 or 24, 180cm tall, medium build, broad shoulders, short brown hair, wearing a red and white long sleeve shirt, white T-shirt, light blue jeans and dark shoes. He was unshaven.
Macro task force Det-Sen Sgt Paul Ferguson said yesterday he did not believe the abduction was linked to the disappearance of Sarah Spiers and Jane Rimmer.

Don’t think it’s linked... to Sara and Jane... why? Tsk tsk so many missed opportunities. Did this one come up for abduction attempts in BRE court case? Certainly sounds like could be BRE.
