I think he was looking to do about 3 different things. In the end he didn't do anything.

Ian Bell letting the ball lob into his pads , bat at top of back lift against Warne for lbw in Ashes 2005 right up there , Bell's nodding at Umpire to confirm he got the decision right amusing as well.
You could almost see the thought bubbles as all the options were being assessed. The final thought bubble required the swear filter...
