Marking the passing of the "Voice of the Browns", Jim Donovan, who passed away from Leukemia last week.
He had been the radio commentor for the Browns games, since they re-entered the league in 1999, barring a short period when ill-health forced him to stepdown.
It has been an unhappy and troubled season for the Browns and the rest of of the year was looking bleak and gloomy when Watson went down with his season ending injury... and then it got worse with the news of Jim Donovan's passing.
Since starting to folllow the Browns and learn of their history, Jim's voice was the sound of most of the videos of the Brown's games and highlights. It had become expected that you would hear his voice conveying the excitement or the disappointment of the Browns.
But it has been the enthusiam for the team and the excitement and the joy that you heard in his voice when the Browns did well that has been become part of being a Browns supporter. From his "Run, William, Run" call to his triumphant "The Browns are going to the playoffs" in 2019.
There is an old saying that it is darkest before the the dawn, but in the game that Watson got injured, Nick Chubb played his comeback game and then they had a new QB for the next game.
And the "new Browns" came out and their best football of the year and fittingly, beat who else but the Ravens.
