Ponderances from an insomniac......

IF the Kangaroo's AFLW side in the future class themselves as a separate membership (Ie. my existing AFL North Melbourne club membership doesn't automatically grant AFLW membership), should I feel disloyal if I choose to follow a different team?

I am a 25 yr + North member, but a 45 year supporter of the kangaroos. A new franchise team, asking for additional club membership may see me ponder support for a different team.

I am interested in others thoughts.

So, someone's alternate account who is going the troll, you're saying you'll stop barracking for North because of the AFLW team?

Isn't every AFLW a (relatively) new 'franchise team"? You do realise our Mens team was once a new "franchise team"in the VFL?

Seems to me you are just pondering the cheapest option. With such a lack of loyalty I'm surprised you've been a member so long.

Ah, you see it's PRECISELY that all the teams are a new franchise that I can ponder whether I COULD consider following a different AFLW team.....

My loyalty to the NMFC men's team is not in doubt in my own mind...I have put hard earned behind the club and seen very few games live (the tyrany of distance prevents more physical game attendance).

It's not even a "cheapest option" thought...it's a do I feel an affinity to game style/players/spirit/gamesmanship etc that I might find attractive in another franchise.

At present NO AFLW has grabbed my attenention, but when the games are more attractive to watch, this may change

but the team belongs to a club, a club you are a member of.

If the men play a "brand"of football you don't like will you change?

It's not me mate, but I suspect the hook has been baited with me in mind.

Interesting few posts dotted through BF history they have made.

I will follow the North Melbourne Tassie Roos (or whatever they are called) as they are affiliated to our club. I'm not gonna protest on the name because if it brings more interest and female members to our club overall I'm all for it. I'll pay to watch it too.

Yeah, in a kind of man walks down street shouting to no one kinda way i guess you could call them interesting.
