Dude, often in the rush to get their name onto threads people miss out by seconds or minutes, the time it takes to create the thread after a quick check to see if there are other threads already created. Bud dude.....45 minutes late? Dial up?

Re: Lappin, Montgomery and another gone..

I wonder why the rush of blood to quit three coaches at relative short notice?
Two new AFL coaches means two whole new coaching panels. We need to be advertising for prospects now if we want them, otherwise our competitors will snag them.

I had no complaints with the outgoing coaches. Thought they all did a reasonable job, and I particularly liked Monty's work. Still, this is a great opportunity to remedy deficiencies with fresh ideas.

First on my list is Brett Kirk.

What are you talking about?

I posted this thread 6 minutes after it was originally posted on this board.

Might have something to do with me posting the news on the St Kilda board at the same time.

That'll teach me to venture into unchartered waters :p

Will Darren Harris get promoted to an assisstant role.

Has extensive senior experience.....also if anyone meets him can they ask him to mail my dad his commemerative Wodonga Raiders tie back?

David Teague has expressed interest in a assitant coaching role at the Blues, personally I;d rather we had someone more experienced.
Teague should be given the job, he's served his time and has a proven winning formula. I just hope he can get along with Ratten:rolleyes:

Remember Carlton. Best available means they aren't the best.

Let's just steal the best assistants from other clubs.

Agree totally.

But If we had to go for a recently retired player as much as I hate the filth O'Bree and Lockyer ( He hasn't announced yet but you'd think he will retire possibly after playing next week ) are the two I'd be interested in.
The filth don't have that greater side when you look at some of their individuals but their zoning structures are leading the comp to their credit. We could do with some knowledge in this area IMO.

I wouldnt mid getting someone from Collingwood down to have a look at Malthouses 'perfromance ladder' technique.

Seemed to work wonders this year for allround performance.

We really need to put some 'cross pollenation' into effect and get some heads from other clubs into the place.

If there is one thing that is a constant from coaches, its the differences in methodology and systems at the various clubs.

We really tend to be a closed house with recruiting our own and getting favorite sons back to the club.

Lets get some different eyes in the place next year.
