What the hell was that ending?

They build up the tournament. Tori and roby were going to get redemption and their moment. And then they just destroy it all in the last 15 mins of the season.

Is the final mini season now just a crime drama where all the kids end up in prison? Surely the tournament is done with everyone going home in disgrace if not police custody

Why were they even fighting each other?

Have literally no idea where they even go with this show now. Its like the writers went awol in the last 15 mins.
 
Definitely building up to a final showdown where Silver is the big evil with Kreese aligning with the others against him and both he and Johnny coming good - possibly with Kreese dying in the midst of saving Johnny. Well that’s my theory.

In the last episode Tory beats Zara, and the actress who plays Zara posts a video of herself laughing at how unrealistic that is if it was real life.

I dont see how. Surely that brawl is the end of all the fighting and now its about the repercusions. Like all the adults fighting on television end up in prison. The kids having to end their karate ways as its turned them into insanely violent people.

I don't get the Miyagi legacy storyline and why Daniel is so upset. So what that Miyagi killed a guy in a past tournament. He fought in WW2 and was a decorated war veteran. Miyagi probably killed a lot of guys.

Never thought of it like that but you are spot on.

I wonder if in the final episodes that will compare Miyagi's war time experiences with John Kreese's, who clearly was damaged/corrupted by his time serving in Vietnam.

In reality, sure prison. But this is the show where Kreese manages to escape the country as a fugitive and Silver somehow evades prison.

Binged all in a night. Personallt found these eps the strongest for a while. Bit cringey and hokey, but I thought it played into the 80's/90s feel.

The fight choreo in the last 2 episodes was so epic.

Thought they could really leave the miyagi stuff. I feel like this should just evolve past Miyagis heritage, season could do without it.

Really liked the Sekai Taikai. The All Valley has been done to death. This has brought in new rules and dynamics to the fights which has made for more great fight choreo

My thoughts on this season exactly. The Miyagi stuff meh but otherwise I’ve loved it.
 
Yeah not too sure about that last 20 mins with the all-in brawl erupting at the tournament. I get that it was just a way to get some specific match-ups/action happening on screen but seemed a little out there even for this show. Not sure why the other dojos just started fighting each other rather than just swarming the Russian drug cheats. Did lol at "cut the feed", like that wouldn't have happened as soon as it kicked off.

Wasn't as bothered by the Myagi box stuff as others seem to be, thought Daniel's dream sequence to kick off the last episode was pretty rad, AI Miyagi and all.

I wonder if the Miyagi box/secret life subplot in the latest season is just there to set this movie up.

Yeah good call, quite possibly.

But same, will definitely be a stream watch.
 
Epic Season 6 so far but it has run its course overall. The writers were really stretching for an angle with the last two episodes and while the last of the current "mini season" was great to watch, it really showed why it needs to end soon. There is simply getting fewer and fewer places for it to go.

I've always said the end game is Kreese's redemption and haven't seen anything to change that, despite the first part of the last episode.

They explain briefly that Silver escapes prison because the witness is unreliable, and Kreese has his charges dropped, and also his charges from within prison waived as he played the former pow with PTSD card.

Look it's flimsy but it's good enough to allow suspension of disbelief. It's all you need.

The Zara actress is the most I've thirsted over anyone in a while. Extraordinary martial artist and stunningly attractive.
