Does anyone have an update on any new players signing with Coburg? Any potential recruits? Also - does WA have an official Tiges supporter group? Any info would help. Cheers

No info on new player signings, but the following were from Inside Football Magazine and VFLfooty.com respectively.

Coburg Tigers: Retention has been a focus for the unlikely 2007 grand finalists. Ryan Anderson and Logan Hill followed Andy Collins to West Adelaide, big-hearted Tommy Simpson returned to the VAFA and Myles Sewell went back to North Ballarat but all other senior players are back on deck. The Tigers were thrilled that Richmond rookie-listed the “Big Cat”, Jarrod Silvester.

Coburg Tigers:
The Tigers were one of the most improved sides in the competition during season 2007, but fell at the final hurdle when they came up against a rampant Geelong outfit. Andy Collins was the architect of the success and in the process he unearthed plenty of exciting young talent. Unfortunately a number of these moved to West Adelaide where Collins has been appointed as senior coach.

Two of the players to join Collins at the Bloods are Logan Hill and Ryan Anderson, both of whom were impressed when given a chance at senior level during the year. Flashy small forward/midfield type Jono Mullins has decided to ply his trade with Port Melbourne for season 2008.

Promising defender Jarrod Silvester was rookie listed with Richmond and the Tigers are extremely proud of their young defender. Players from the reserves premiership will be looking to play senior football under regular basis and will strive to impress new senior coach Jade Rawlings, who will combine his VFL coaching with a development role at Richmond.

With Andy Collins headed to South Australia to Coach , Young Andy Collins will lead the way for Coburg on the field this season only to miss the finals due to his promotion to the seniors for the AFL Finals where he will play great solid football and be hailed by the Football world as a Future Richmond Champion.
