Hey lads, when we're winning and it's the 4 qtr, is it possible to just come down from Everest and stand behind the Ponsford, or is entry restricted? Don't want to miss the singing.

If we win, and win rather easily, most of the Cats fans will go home, and there'll be plenty of room behind the goals for standing room, and may even be able to sneak into the reserved seating area, as the security will be so focussed on the ground.

I'm priority 1 and got standard M33 which according to the above article did not happen, so not sure how much I trust that article, also the numbers don't add up. Very very happy with M33, saved some money behind the goals!

There is an update on the collingwood website suggesting no Priority 2 members got better tickets than priority 1 members, can't be bothered looking back through this thread to see if that is true. Wonder if in hindsight the club would have been better capping legends at 6000? or offering 6000 A class members and then 3000 B class legend members?

Regarding the statement the club put up regarding GF ticket allocation, did anybody notice that the numbers add to only 12,033 and so there are still ~450 unexplained missing seats/tickets??

First up I'll just outline I'm not going.

A few random questions about tickets to the grand final...

In the MCC do they let you stand on the balcony behind the seats? Or do they tell you to piss off? Not just for the GF but for any game. I was just thinking the balcony has the best seats in the house and standing there for the entire day wouldn't be so bad.

Secondly, the $1300 packages the AFL sell; are the seats any good? I'm thinking if I don't get my MCC full membership/ballot ticket next year and my sneak-in strategy falls through that I might buy that.

Still a silver AFL member Gave up Legends membership a few years ago because AFL was cheaper and easier to get GF tickets. I bet I get full membership when our current domination of the league is over and I don't need the GF tickets.

As an AFL Full Member, I try to get a GF ticket every year, doesnt matter who is playing. Have only failed once in the last 8 years.

Do what I do, sell the ticket to a supporter of the club in the GF at half the price of AFL packages and you'll find that the cash you receive pays for the AFL membership.

Theres a small standing section behind the seats on level M .......stood there for a West Coast Sydney GF and after half time stole a reserved seat in front of me that wasnt being used... great spot. Cant see the screen but there are tv's. You can stand about 6-8 deep from memory. Theres even a couple of even smaller standing sections in the middle of a couple of bays (2/3rds of the way back) in the middle of level M (which replicate the old standing section of the old Pavilion Stand....a bit of a nod to history)

Not much standing room above ground level though....level Q has some sections but not sure if you have a 100% view of the ground as youre standing between stairwells.

If you look at the table it says the drip line for M (all stands) is row Y, given you are in EE, 6 rows back even if the wind is blowing straight into you, you still should be fine.

Sorry Rohan, I made a mistake. Got my actual ticket yesterday and I'm in M5, Row F, not M4. Actually pretty happy with that because otherwise I'd be in with all the Cats' cheer squad. Now I'm next bay around, behind the point post at Punt Road end. Saturday can't come quickly enough.

I'll be in the MCC members queue at approx 4am Sat to get myself a good seat on level 2 or 3.
